Slave Pit Inc. is proud to announce that we finally have figured out what the hell is up with this year's GWAR-B-Q. The 2nd Annual GWAR-B-Q will ACTUALLY be on Sep. 17th, 2011, not Aug. 27th as previously advertised. It will be held at Hadad's Water Park in lovely Richmond, VA. The standard ticket price will be 20 bucks, with all kinds of cool extras and discounts. That includes all of the events and especially the bands! And that is this year's biggest news-because this year, for the very first time, GWAR is playing their own GWAR-B-Q! And the OFFICIAL spelling of the event is "GWAR-B-Q", even though the flyer up top says different!

O.K., let's review and embellish...

WHEN IS IT? SEPTEMBER 17TH, 2011, THAT'S WHEN!

The 2011 GWAR-B-Q is ON for Sep. 17th. I know a lot of you are going "huh? I already took off work at Taco-Bell!" After thinking we were going to do it Aug. 27th, WE FUCKING CHANGED OUR MINDS!

WHERE IS IT? AT HADAD'S WATER PARK, THAT'S WHERE.

After an exhaustive search of every conceivable venue, we finally settled on the legendary Hadad's Water Park, which for years has hosted Richmond's world-famous BEST FRIENDS DAY.

Bands Playing:
MAIN STAGE
GWAR
Darkest Hour
Kepone
Mensrea

Good shit. I can actually make it on 9/17. Hopefully they get some good locals for it as well, and I'm definitely there.

That makes sense. I was wondering why I wasn't watching Fox News then today reminded me.

Honestly I thought it was because of the Golden Girls joke he made.

*Awkward silence near the end of the segment ".............Remember that episode of the Golden Girls where Blanch had a stroke?"

That was the closes I ever came to pissing my pants laughing. :D

I'm almost a 100% sure this doesn't mean a new album will ever be made. I think they realized that if they are gonna being playing to an audience of die hard Gwar fans a lot of the people there will probably be DBX fans. I can't even see them playing any other shows besides Gwar b-q. It would be cool to see Dave sing those songs again. With the way Gwar is these days it's hard to picture Dave singing Should the Ugly Girl Blow Me? again. And about this festival there is no chance i'd be able to go but if I have a car next year I plan to make a holy pilgrimage to Richmond.

A couple years back they were suppose to open for Green Jelly, but something happened that made them drop off the tour. It could happen again. At least I pray to the metal gods. I've already seen GWAR. I MUST see the Dave Brockie Experience.

I didn't even know Green Jelly still toured. And I don't think the metal gods would do anything concerning DBX.

If I remember correctly they weren't actually on the tour and it was miscommunication. Did the Death Piggy reuinion happen? I forget if it actually did, but I know at that time DBX did like 3 shows around Virginia.
