No, I've kinda avoided listening to any of their albums because they're scene-kid friendly, and I never really liked the little samples I heard from them either.

They aren't that scene-kid friendly. I mean music wise they arent. Only reason they are is cause of the name and their artwork.

Here's the official press release from Metal Blade:
First US shows in support of 'Ritual' begin June 1st
Agoura Hills, CA – May 25th, 2011 – The face-melting Detroit quintet, THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER (TBDM), is set to premiere the third single from the band's fifth full-length album hitting streets June 21st in North America and June 17/20 in Europe. Hosting the premiere of the track, Malenchanments of the Necrosphere, is Full Metal Jackie. Full Metal Jackie is the ONLY syndicated metal radio show on the FM waves in the US and is now broadcasted on over 45 rock stations nationwide. To find a station near you and what time the show airs, head to http://fullmetaljackieradio.com/ and tune in this weekend!
For fans that can't tune in over the weekend, Malenchanments of the Necrosphere will see its worldwide web premiere on Monday, May 30th via Alternative Press' website, altpress.com.
Ritual is a collection of 12 tracks that see the band staying true to their sound and style while progressing in both writing and musicianship. Guitarist Ryan Knight has delivered truly searing leads that will without a doubt daze and lay waste the ears of both loyal Black Dahlia diehards and burgeoning fans alike. Music for Ritual was recorded in early 2011 in Detroit, MI with Mark Lewis (Deicide, Unearth) and the band producing with vocals and mixing taking place at Orlando, Florida based studio, Audio Hammer with Jason Suecof (BDM, Beneath the Massacre, Job for a Cowboy, All That Remains). The first single off Ritual, Moonlight Equilibrium, is now live at the following location along with several pre-order options: MetalBlade.com/BDM
Catch TBDM live when the band headlines one of the summer's heaviest tours, the Summer Slaughter Tour, with label-mates Whitechapel and Six Feet Under in addition to Darkest Hour, Dying Fetus, and more.
