Moscow sucks dick when it comes to local metal, but I did see a good Russian deathcore band open for Suicide Silence (which is ironically the worst band I've ever seen), Ease of Disgust. Check them out on YouTube or something, too busy to link.

There is actually this one good Russian deathcore band I like called Neverending War, they're pretty good:

They're fantastic. One of the reasons I'm going to San Antonio in November.

They're from a small town about 15 minutes from my house. They play shows around here every now and then but I haven't gotten to see them yet, but I have met Bill Davidson, and he's an extremely nice guy.

Just heard of these guys recently. By far one of the best bands out of Vancouver. Absolutely magnificent. Going to have to find a way to promote the shit out of them.

I discovered this guy by meeting him in person. I was at looney tunes on record store day last year and this guy comes to the store in costume during the Jim Florentine & Don Jamison signing and he was handing out copies of his demo. I listened to it and it's actually not bad.
