Album drops in August and the band will kick off a US tour at that time. Scorpions are in negotiations to coheadline and there will be a opening act (unknown).

I'd prefer Triumph as support.

My god. I would do almost anything to go to that. haha

It would be an evening filled with some of the best hard rock from the late 70's thru the early 80's...

What happened to the Scorpions tour last summer being the farewell tour?

It was only a part of it. Last summer wasn't THE final tour, just a leg.

Yeah, pretty sure they even said they'd be doing another leg in the US before the end of the tour.

Must see this. Saving my $ already because I know I'll need to. Wanted to see Scorpions as bad as I want to see VH. I'm cringing already at the thought of ticket prices.

I got to see the Scorps back in July, and I was amazed at how good they were. They seriously killed it. I kept hearing that Klaus sounded bad, that ended up being BS.

Yeah, Scorpions farewell tour was always planned to stretch into 2012.

We're still waiting for some UK dates. It's one of the only places they haven't played on this tour. Hopefully they don't bring Van Halen when they do!

Id be down, wanted to see The Scorpions before they called it a day

Would be big here, since VH alone sold out most venues on their last tour

This is a must see show for me, especially since I missed VH all the other times they played near me on their reunion tour.

According to this (http://www.the-scorpions.com/phpbb3/viewtopic.php?f=50&t=30149), it's not true, but see this (http://www.the-scorpions.com/phpbb3/viewtopic.php?f=50&t=29842&start=20#p757778) as well.

Either way, I hope Scorpions make it here one last time.

The new rumour is a Van Halan/Ozzy Osbourne co-headline European tour in the Autumn.

I'll believe that when I see it. And by see it I mean confirmed dates, I wouldn't attend a show.

It'll be interesting to see that show (ozzy/vh) as during the late 70's vh supported black sabbath in europe and vh stole the show and apparently pissed off ozzy as the audience kept requesting encores, doubt that'll occur again lol

Id just like to see VH go out with another big name, keep things interesting

VH is a huge draw on their own. It would be cool to see Scorps, Ozzy, etc but what would not be cool would be the insane ticket prices.

Essacly. Van Halen was ridiculously expensive last time around (don't know if it was the reunion hype or not), I think it was $80-100 to sit on the rafters. I'd like to see them again with better seats or on the floor

Judas Priest tour dates (http://judaspriest.com/tour/default.asp)

Scorpions tour dates (http://www.the-scorpions.com/english/tourdates.asp)

Considering both bands are doing their final, farewell tours, I'm going to predict a co-headlining tour somewhere between August and November.

Why? I think it'd be the ultimate way to go out.

Because no band that is doing a farewell tour wants to open for another band. Even if it is co-headline, one of them will have to go first.

Both bands deserve an equal headlining tour, their own headlining tour.

I would like to see a preist/scorpions farewell tour. altho they may only get an hour to an hour n a half each. Def Leperd and whitesnake did (not farewell tho obviously).
I'd pay to see it

Other bands have done co-headlines and one of them had to go first. Or they could do like some bands and take turns playing last every other night. It also depends on how huge their egos are. Anyway, I'm sure if it did happen, quite a few of us would be pretty excited. Anything is possible at this point. :)

Scorpians and Judas Priest co-headlining tour would sell, but it is a bad idea. I want full sets from each band if it's thier last tour. Besides, I don't think it can ever happen.

Co-headline=full sets from both bands. Only the opening acts would play shorter sets.

Co-headline tours usually only play for an hour.

I've never seen a co-headline show between 2 major acts only playing for an hour, but I think Megadeth and Slayer did less than 90 minutes each. If both bands did at least 90 minutes, that would be great for sure.

NickLed19

That just happened, minus Maiden, and one of the significant members from one of the bands did die.

Alter Bridge's Mark Tremonti: "Recently I was in Los Angeles and Wolfgang (Van Halen, bass) invited me to his Dad's house and I got to go to 5150 studios and watch Eddie (Van Halen, guitar) and Alex (Van Halen, drums) and Wolfgang play their new record from front to back... I'm one of the only people who have heard the new Van Halen. It was incredible."

So it actually exists then.

Since this hasn't been officially announced I assume it's not happening. I think a Kiss/ van halen co headlining tour would make a lot of money. I'm not a huge fan of either band but I do like them. I always thought that DLR era van halen was basically kiss without the makeup. Gene Simmons also discovered them so I think that makes more sense then touring with scorpions. ( who are also good.)

How about a Whitesnake/Van Halen tour? That would be even better, no?

It's June 21st. If there is to be an August tour with both of these bands, they better announce tour dates like today with a full schedule. If not, it's a safe bet this won't happen.

Definitely the better choice.

The only clashes this year that really pissed me off were Arch Enemy v. Monster Magnet on Sunday and Corrosion of Conformity v. Sepultura on Friday. I chose Angela Gossow's tits and rehashed Cavalera songs over the others
