Danzig is shit?

Still very glad I'll be abroad during this so I don't risk any aftershocks of this shit earthquake 75 miles from Columbus.

Danzig is shit?Shit? No. Irrelevant? Yup.

As long as stuff like Mother, Twist of Cain, Dirty Black Summer and She Rides stays in his set, I'll continue trying to see him live.

As long as stuff like Mother, Twist of Cain, Dirty Black Summer and She Rides stays in his set, I'll continue trying to see him live. By using the word "trying", you're basically saying the same thing as I am. Sure, I wouldn't mind seeing those songs performed live, but only if the right opportunity presented itself...and this shitfest sure ain't it. Surely Ohio can do better than this.

DethMaiden
03-22-2011, 09:58 AM
Yeah, you're exactly right. I've skipped reasonably doable Danzig shows numerous times. It would take a really good Blackest of the Black support bill coming to the Midwest on a very convenient date for me to actually go see the man.

Natrlhi

Exactly.

I'd rather hit myself in the face with the claw end of a hammer than go to this.

:bricks:

I don't really see a way to make this lineup worse. Unless, they had an entire stage of just deathcore acts and my chemical dependence.

They're a fun live show, thats about it. Their music is horrible. And yes they are on my signature, but that is for my girl friend

The main thing good about this is it's the biggest metal festival here in the USA I've ever seen. Hopefully this is a start towards more of these, but with better acts.

this has improved majorly since the first couple years(when the headliners were Kid Rock and Three Doors Down)

they have managed to throw some great bands randomly in amongst more commercial acts(and one of the most fun shows Ive ever been to, despite the occasional run ins with human trash)

I swear the city of Columbus brings in all these shitty bands in order to make up for having almost no good metal shows throughout the rest of the year. In high school, I had to drive 90 miles from my house to Newport Music Hall to see bands like Mastodon and In Flames. Now that I can SEE Newport from my dorm room window, there aren't any good shows. I've seen All That Remains and Tim & Eric. Nothing else comes through. "It's fuckin' bullshit."

Puddle Of Mudd(who for some reason were going to be there signing books-seriously) will be filling in for Stone Sour

I think it's an OK choice, alot of people liked them last year and they're decent live

True....but Stone Sour was the 2nd or 3rd best band on the lineup.

BTW, Puddle of Mudd is an awful replacement.

Im ok with it(at the very least theyre entertaining)

honestly I know this show isnt everyone here's thing, but it's a fun time and IMO there's some great bands here(not all of them, but that happens)

Last year when I saw them. The d bag singer just bitched at the crowd the whole time, and he kept saying he was going to leave.

I saw them at Carnival as well, and Shinedown, 10 Years, and Sevendust made them look like a group of clowns.

Why would you exhume a dead thread like this? ROTR already happened.
