They sold out the 2 brooklyn shows at a 1200 capacity venue (but of course you have to factor in people who traveled for cause of limited tour). Not sure how they jumped to a 3000 capacity venue. I really hate the sound at T5 though, its always incredibly low.

If I can get a single day ticket to this I'll go. If not I refuse to spend $150 to see any single band.

If the Bay gets a date (which we will, I'm sure), I really don't know if I'd see them again. When I saw them last September it was so perfect. I would probably be disappointed no matter how good they were the second time around.

Would their set change at all? I know they had a couple new tunes and covers on the last tour, but they would still have to do all of Holy Mountain and a chunk of Dopesmoker to do a full show wouldn't they?

I guess I would, but there is no way it would top the first time. I mean it was some kind of magic combo of the weed, the atmosphere, Matt's tone, the slight reverb on Al's vocals, that amazing cover of Over the Mountain, and the sick jamming that made it so awesome, I figure there's no way it could be recreated. I bet it'll still be fun as hell though.

WOOHOO!!!!

Edit: aww why the Wiltern?? That place is awful for doom bands. Weedeater sounded like shit there. The show should be at the UV Lounge in Lincoln Heights, or the Fox Theater in Pomona.

I wouldn't be surprised if those three dates were the only dates!

And you need to look harder. ;)

Dear Sleep,

I know Hakius is done, I know Pike just barely made it back into the United States in one piece and I know Cisneros is potentially allergic to doing more than 5 shows per year, but man, if you're going to keep sporadically reuniting couldn't you at least do an Ohio show? It worked splendidly for Manowar, and you guys are lightyears better than those Hair Metal goobers. If not it's cool, man. I can totally bum a way into the New York show...

I despise the venue and think it's a real shitty choice for these bands.

oh the venue's not that bad, but i agree that it is odd for them. nothing beat them at the masonic temple

yeah I regret not going to those Masonic shows.

The problem with Terminal 5 is that the speakers are always too low. Hyped indie bands fit perfectly there but there is always something to be desired with metal bands. Especially incredibly loud doom bands like these 2.

Still, I'll definitely try to go to this one if I can. I don't seem to have many potential shows in June.
