Atheist was the headliner, but I left early as I wasn't a fan of them coming in and they didn't convert me in a live setting. I didn't know one song coming in to the show.

Last Chance To Reason was up first. They played tech-death with keyboards and a slight deathcore slant. Overall, they weren't really my bag. The vocalist looked like a retard when he did inhales.

Revocation was next and met my expectations, if not exceeding them. I was on the rail for the first half of their set, t'was a blast. Highlight of the set was their Death cover, for sure. I actually looked on their Facebook and saw that they posted a video of them playing it in Baltimore, so I wasn't surprised when they announced it, but I was overjoyed.

Re-Animaniac
Pestilence Reigns
Pull the Plug (Death) :rocker::rocker::rocker:
Dismantle the Dictator
Age of Iniquity
Unattained
Exhumed Identity

so, same set as last year + "Pull the Plug." I'm fine with that. :bliss: One of the best live bands I've ever seen.

A Life Once Lost didn't make it because of van troubles. I wasn't too bummed :D

Then came Atheist. First things first: Kelly Schafer looks exactly like Bret Michaels.

As I said, I've never been much of an Atheist fan. Shame they didn't make much of a lasting impression on me live. My brother, who is a fan, didn't think they were anything special either.

I found a setlist:

Unquestionable Presence
On They Slay
Second To Sun
Mineral
Fraudulent Cloth
An Incarnation's Dream
Live And Live Again
Your Life's Retribution
Air
Mother Man
Faux King Christ
Piece Of Time

>:I listen to Atheist, ya foo

But yeah, killer Revocation set. Wish they would save ReAnimaniac for later in the set.

Winner.

Atheist are overrated - Lykathea Aflame is where it's at for Prog Death IMHO.

And on stage, he did a damn good gay impression. I say "impression" because I'm guessing he's not actually gay, but otherwise, you'd never know.

Not liking their music is no problem, but making fun of them personally with a homophobic joke is stupid. I'm really surprised and disappointed to be reading that in a post by you.

Sorry man, not trying to sound homophobic. Just saying the stuff he did onstage was sorta strange and/or "gay."

There's nothing homophobic with saying someone looked or acted gay, he wasn't even using it as a synonym for lame. You can't deny that there is a definite "gay" stereotype, I don't know what's wrong with describing something as such; ie. "Tokyo Blade look really gay."

Exactly. And, I mean, I wasn't scared of him :eyes:

There definitely is a stereotype, it just seemed like an insult when I read it.

Atheist took out "Unholy War"? :(
