When they took our tickets last night at Immortal, we were given flyers for Danzig, Devildriver, and 2 Cents at Stage AE May 20. I guess he's doing some shows around Rock On The Range.

I try hard not to talk bad about any band that I personally don't like, but 2 cents is one of the worst bands ive ever heard :D

Well that's a god awful lineup.
Glad I saw Danzig four years ago, don't feel the need to see him again unless the support is awesome, he pulls Doyle out again or they start playing Samhain songs.

Explosions in the Sky is $22.50 before ticketbastard fees. Surprisingly, that show will be the most metal show to play there until this show. 2 Cents is going to be the first metal band to play there... :eyes:

I nearly decided to fly out for that EITS show. I'm not quite over missing them play here in SF last year. It tore me apart.

You should totally come! I honestly don't think we're gonna have a lot of hipsters at that show.

With Myth reopening, they just might come there.

Seriously? Someone was willing to pay for the Myth, plus the $2 Million debt that went with it?

Looks like Shattered and Tears Of Ash will be getting a new venue to play at.

I'm gonna try to go to this. I'm not familiar with their stuff, but I just checked them out, and it's on a friday, so why not?

About this tour though...

I'll probably go if it's cheap, but I've seen Devildriver and I'm not too into Danzig. I was actually wondering when Devildriver would be coming here yesterday. I'm just more upset that they didn't put together another killer package like they did last year (Suffocation/Goatwhore :rocker:). But I won't feel bad skipping out on them if I have to.

Google Myth in maplewood reopening.

I wasn't doubting it to be true. I'm just surprised someone is willing to spend 2million in debt plus whatever the venue is worth, when the original owners couldn't even handle it.

I'm actually excited about it because it gives my bands another place to play. My band Shattered was about to become a regular band at The Rock before it shutdown and had the chance to open for some big shows that got moved to Roberts, then eventually canceled.

This is great news!

It's not that the original owners couldn't handle it. It's that they were embezzling the money.

I know but that goes hand in hand. When you embezzle money you can't handle the current situation. Greed takes over.

18 - Westbury, NY - Westbury Theatre

Anyone know what theater this is exactly? Looking it up only gives me movie theaters and the likes. last.fm has The Capitol One Theater but that would suck since its a seated venue.

It is the Capitol One theater. I saw Skynrd there in 09. It was an appropriate venue for skynrd but it's gonna feel really weird seeing a metal show there. Maybe it will be ok for Danzig but the westbury theater is definetely not a good venue for devildriver.

no there actually is a westbury theater, which is odd because no one fucking goes there, and it's a theater in the round (stage in the middle, seats surrounding).

so if there's gonna be seats, i might skip it.

Fucking awesome, definitely going to the Milwaukee show. Last time he was here (BOTB 08) was one of the best shows Ive ever seen. Too bad the opening bands suck total ass. Maybe since it's not Blackest of the Black he'll get a longer set.
