Next friday (the 25th), not this Friday.

But yeah, $50-$100 are the ticket ranges. I'll have to think about this. I'd love to go, but those prices are ridiculous.

This thread is going to explode in the next couple of days. Just wait.

Either that, or the topic will go from being about rammstien to something completely and totally different like... Politics, scene kids and how lamb of god is for the fagg poser cool dudes, chicks with dicks, Bisexuals, racism, Scientology, people bashing eachother over different taste in music, More mayhem kids showing up to infect the thread.

Just wait, you'll see.

I know because it happens to 90% of the fucking threads on this goddamn board

yeah because theyre really do a full length tour right?

9 shows, that's all, that's laughable

it's only slightly more than last year's Ozzfest

Steev

I love how angry he is

seriously it's the internet, and he's throwing every profanity his little brain can think of out there, not to mention he makes a big tirade about it being US dates when a third of the shows are Canada(and another third are strictly California)

basically if you live in California, Washington, Illinois, or New Jersey(which is pretty damn close to New York-where they played last year) you can see them in the US

4/50 States getting this "Tour" is pretty weak IMO, maybe if they did clubs like they used to

I love how I'm a "know nothing c***", yet he's the one who seems to think Quebec is in America from the looks of his post;)

but yeah, this isn't a tour, they're basically touching upon the 3 big markets(counting the West Coast as one) and that's it, they could never do a 35 date arena tour

the fucking cast of "Glee" is even doing a tour, this is far from a tour

the funniest part is really that he isn't letting it go, and apparently "fuck me" because they're playing Chicago?

Holy shit...you mean, for once, I get a show that skips most of North America? The tickets are bloody expensive but this is one show I never thought I'd see unless I traveled to Europe. I was actually thinking of trying to coordinate travel plans for next year with one of their tours, but no need to now.

Anyone heard anything about the openers?

What everyone needs to take away from these handful of dates is that Rammstein are now a draw in the states outside of just their standard Industrial Fanbase.

Thanks to the internet and press being more accessible to the masses, Rammstein are able to be BIG in the USA now and not just be that "Du Hast" band. Of course there will be a lot of fans going because they "bought the album with 'Du Hast' on it," but hey, a ticket sold is a ticket sold. Same goes for Maiden who sell a boat load of tickets because people go wanting classics.

Who knows, in the Fall/Winter season they may come back and hit a few other markets. Just a step boys and girls, just a step.

So I'm not quite sure if my diehard Rammstein-worshipping friend can make it up from Virginia to see this. And I'm conflicted, personally.

Half of me knows this is a ton of money, about 3 concerts worth of money alone for just normal seats. Its around $60, but the floor is a whopping $100. The other half of me says "fuck it, this is a historic event that could never happen again", and try and get a floor ticket. Looks like I might be going to this show alone, and dropping a whole Benjamin (not counting the shirt I'll need to get). :eyes:

So any thoughts on this? And has anyone here seen Rammstein before? It seems like their concerts aren't that crazy crowd-wise, just a really awesome stage show. I think, for me, it would be money well spent.

I saw them in 1998, the crowd really got into "Du Hast" and that was it

the pyro show was cool, but could have done without the dildo rape

One of my good friends went to the NYC show and said that people were too focused on the band and how awesome everything was, in terms of stage and everything.

it's all about the stage show.... plus Rammstein isn't really mosh-pit type music. I saw them on the last real tour they did here, it was awesome.

Yeah, thats what I'm expecting. A lot of headbanging and observing the show while throwing up some horns! :metal:

I still want to try and get on the floor; the pyrotechnics would be so much more insane up close.

when I saw them I was pretty far and I could feel it, so I imagine people in the pit area were sweating.

Congrats on getting GA guys.

I was skeptical on going because Amon Amarth is on the same day, and that's awesome and cheaper. So I didn't bother to get tickets immediately when they went on sale. I just juggled around for the upcoming hours, getting shitty seats and letting the dream die. Then a few minutes ago I got section 101 row 14. Its dead center facing the stage after the GA. I got lucky and am really excited for this. But if they tone their performances down I will be so pissed

That's the definition of being stuck betwen a rock and a hard place. I would hate to miss an Evening with Amon for this, but I would still say Rammstein takes precedence for me. I don't think you'll be disappointed with the performance.

This is also my problem, but I saw Rammstein the last time they truly toured here, and overall I like Amon Amarth a lot more.

Got tickets for the show in Toronto. In the upper bowl for this one, since i'm a cheap/poor person as well, although even my tickets were like $70 each. But I guess being in the upper bowl is good since I am less likely to get heat stroke.

Yeah I like Amon Amarth more as well but they tour every year, sucks that I will miss them play 2 sets but it won't be the last chance I get to see them. I only like a couple of Rammstein songs but they seem insane live. May is gonna be hell. Rammstein and MDF <3
