Nice, I saw them a few years ago on their Era Vulgaris tour. At the time I was a HUGE fan of "Little Sister." I actually only recognized maybe 5 or 6 songs that night at best.

Needless to say, I've never even listened to their self-titled album :eyes:

I've never heard this band. Do they sound anything like Kyuss?

I guess since it's been announced, I can go ahead and say that Kansas City is getting a date.

@Dissimulate: They're a more rock-oriented sound than Kyuss, but not bad. Check out Go With The Flow or Little Sister.

I don't see the connection here. :confused::confused::confused:

Actually not really. The early stuff had traces of Kyuss, but nowadays it's a lot poppier and alternative Rock. Still stoner-ish to an extent, but pretty mainstream.

Josh Homme?

Josh Homme?

I know I was joking, the :D or  would have given it away. ;)

But like I was saying also in the post, QOTSA is a lot more mainstream then Kyuss, but there is still a little bit of Kyuss influence left in the band.

Seems like a lot of bands are starting to play entire albums live. Not a bad thing, but certainly a growing trend.

I've never seen them and would rather see a full set than this entire album trend. Also I like Rated R and Songs for the Deaf more than the self titled.

I've always considered wanting to see them. Prob a good as time as any to start. Hopefully there'll be a KC/Tulsa date & a decent price I'm in.

Kyuss is pretty different from QotSA but if you like one, you'll probably like the other.

Kyuss Lives needs to get on tour already.

I'm stoked about this, hopefully I don't have to go to LA to see it. I've never seen Queens and would rather see a career spanning set but it will be cool regardless, and the bonus tracks from the EP they added are all sick.

It is, but it just so happens that alot of these bands have anniversaries for their biggest records, so they are giving the younger fans a chance to see the songs live. Also, bands in todays age have to tour more, so this puts more variation on seeing the band more than once in the space of a year or two.

The reissue has been fully remastered from the original tapes and has been expanded by three tracks: "The Bronze" and "These Aren't The Droids You're Looking For" — from the 1998 split EP — and "Spiders And Vinegaroons", which was part of the posthumous KYUSS/QOTSA split EP.

damn they put it on the same day as Metalalliance, I'm not sure what to go to. Metalalliance could suck since its overbooked, no matter how awesome the bands are. Then I always wanted to see qotsa but I hate Terminal 5.

Not big into QOTSA, but the tickets are not bad and the Ryman is an awesome venue. Are they worth going to see?

Saw them tonight and it was awesome. The crowd was really into them, they ended up doing 3 encores.
