On Saturday night I needed to find something to do fast after I got off work at 1015. I heard Vatican Commandos were playing in LA with D.I. and I was going to hit it up but I was never going to make it in time, so I hit up Eturtle bout the set times for DIS and he told me they were going on at 1130, so I rushed to the Blvd and got there at 1120, just in time to grab a PBR from the bar and find a good spot in the front with Eturtle. DIS went on at 1125 and played for 35 minutes. They sounded awesome, other than the vocals acting up sometimes. The entire band was extremely drunk, but they sounded spot on. I remember one point realizing the front row was a wall of people holding PBR tall cans, then the band was all holding them too. I thought to myself "wow, what a bunch of fucking hipsters" hahaha. One point Leon played an awesome solo for the 2nd or 3rd to last song and after the song was over, a guy in the front yelled "Leon your a saint...well not quite, that solo should have been played behind your head or between your legs" hahaha funny shit. Then drunk Leon said "uhhh I'm drunk, whats the next song?" and that same guy replies "hmm looks like theres a setlist right here, hmm i think it says edges" haha I was laughing the whole set, good times.
