On one hand I hate it, because I really want them to do another album like Heavy Rocks.

On the other hand, I love it, because this is what Boris is about.

EDIT: They have two albums coming out.

Collaboration with the Japanese noise artist Merzbow. Vinyl edition limited to
1000 copies

Listened to this twice last night. My impressions were :wtf: followed by :cool:. I love that Boris just do whatever the fuck they want every time they make music. And they do a good job at whatever they decide to make. Cool beans. ;)

Just in, they are releasing 3 albums this year, not even including the Merzbow collab!!!!:
First up is Heavy Rocks, which shares the same title as their breakthrough 2002 LP. Boris's new version of Heavy Rocks reportedly "seeks to redefine 'heavy' music in a culmination of the band's tireless efforts over the past two decades", and therefore revisited the name and the LP's cover art (with purple in the place of the previous orange). Sargent House will release the LP on April 26th.
