So i might not have anyone to go see immortal with me because it's so expensive. Here's my dilemma, do I:

A) See Immortal and possibly the 3 other shows I need to go to that week.
B) Use the money that I had put aside to see Immortal to pay for the other shows and definitely go to them
C) I thought I had a third option.... oh well.

Hm. :|

Im not crazy about Immortal but if your a fan I wouldn't miss that show since they apparently never come to the US. Also you should definetely go to GWAR;)

Pick your spots. Go to what you really want to see and what you can afford. Unfortunately, there are more important things in life than going to see metal shows... seriously. Fuck.

As for OP's predicament, I'd go see Immortal and maybe skip some of the other shows, unless you've already gotten your tickets for the other shows.

Well I can't miss GWAR. BloodOTK knows how that is for me  i don't want to miss eyehategod because of the amazing lineup, and there's no point in not going because it's cheap and a friday night, and i don't have work friday nights.

honestly, weedeater is the only one that's not positive for me. but that's cheap as fuck too. and i'm not paying for immortal at all to be honest, but if i don't go the money that is paying for that ticket could cover those other shows.

Well I'm sure Immortal will come by again. Not soon, but they'll return.

I feel like this mentality will result in heartbreak. I basically said the same thing about a few bands, and now I'll never see some. I would do whatever you can to see Immortal.

If I were you, I would make sure not to miss Immortal, EYEHATEGOD, and Weedeater.

If you give a shit about Immortal, go see Immortal. Having someone to go with should be completely irrelevant.

Guys, Immortal played New York last year around the same time. Not to mention, I feel like this band is highly overrated. The ticket is around $50, for what? Black metal usually sucks live unless you go in a fan, what's the fuss about?

Fans for transportation? Aren't these referred to as hovercrafts? I don't see how it will make black metal sound better live though...

That's not even funny. Nor does it make sense.

Was that a typo?
I'm pretty sure GWAR comes around every 6-12 months, they have to make a living somehow since 20 people actually listen to their music.

The show I went to had one of the highest attendances that I'd seen at the venue GWAR plays in Pittsburgh every year, but I get what you're saying. Alot of the people that were there looked like people who don't usually go to metal shows, but the juggalos made it even worse. I think alot of people go to see Gwar just for the sake of going to a GWAR show. But I respect them for touring all the time. i'd go see them in Feb but I have a college visit that day

I haven't missed GWAR on a single tour that's come to this area since 2007, i intend on keeping that streak

also from what i know the venue they are playing (Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn) doesn't use barricades, which would be nucking futs for a GWAR show :horns:

That's an interesting way to justify spending your money

Yeah I'm not saying un-metal people go to see GWAR, but the music is pretty much metal for the sake of being metal.
