I'm liking what I'm hearing so far.

It's fucking badass. I love the direction they are going for. Best song of 2011 so far.

Sounds like Necrophagist but with Opeth parts!

Sounds great, but yeah, the drums are annoying.

Sounds like Necrophagist but with Opeth parts! That's not necessarily a good thing. By your Opeth comment I assume you were talking, at least in part, about the clean vocals. I almost shat when I heard that. Holy shit, do those vox not fit with the rest of Obscura's style (which I like, for the most part, although I can name several bands who do it much better). Clean vocals are not necessarily a bad thing at all, but for Obscura I'm thinking they are. Do tech death or clean vocals, but not both at the same time, please. Ugh. Fuck that. :barf:

Pretty much one of the only "modern"/"late" tech death bands I can stand. I love their bass sound and the vox especially. Will definitely be picking it up.

I really didn't find anything wrong with the clean vox. I'm digging this song quite a bit, pretty excited for this album to drop.

Unlike Mankvill, I love tech death. And this is :rocker::rocker::rocker:

...and does anyone else think the cover looks like a Metroid?

I have to agree. The drums sound awful, especially the snare. It sounds so lifeless.

I like what I've heard from Obscura. And if their albums get kids to look up stuff about outer space and history like the Septuagint, then I'm even more impressed.
