I went to see them as a joke in 1999 in new jersey - it was probably the most homoerotic two hours of my life. Also, they had the fattest groupies i've ever seen get on their bus.

Seriously - this one chick was wearing a skirt that barely covered her big asscheeks, and she had cottage cheese all the way up the back of her legs. It was fucking revolting.

It's funny how an AMERICAN Power Metal band never plays America, and only doing one show in their own damn country.

When's the last time Manowar played a concert anywhere in the world that wasn't part of a festival?

They should really start turning these gigs down. It's making them a joke.

Just looked them up... They're produced by Joey from Manowar. Don't think they have much of an option to be honest.

Maiden33
01-07-2011, 08:01 AM
I mean, I understand that it's a rare one-off show and thusly ticket prices should be more than normal. But assuming "normal" for a show at this place would be $20-25, anything over like $40 is insane.

All 1000 tickets went in the first two minutes, so there are Manowar fans who will pay 90 bucks including charges.

Including two of my friends. :eyes:

Apparently Manowar was suppose to play Station 4 in St. Paul, MN 3 times in the last 10 years, but they backed out and canceled every date the had penned down.

The promoter of MN Metal shows has a very good point as quoted from Facebook.

The real problem is is that they earn far too much money overseas. Their tour with Rhapsody in 2005 was so overpriced that nearly every city lost money on it which is why they haven't been back in six years. They want astronomical amounts of money to play. This is the only kind of show for them in the US that makes sense although why they chose CLEVELAND is beyond me -- would have thought BB King's in NYC would have been the better choice -- saw them there in 2005 and it was sold out, 1500 seats.
