Plans: Bonfire party, then spending the night at a friend's house, watching the Winter Classic that night and watching the Redskins/Giants game the next day at his house (he's a Giants fan and I'm a Skins fan, gonna get ugly ;))

Resolutions: 1. Improve songwriting within my band
2. improve wrestling record
3. at least 10,000 songs in music library by end of year
4. A's in my AP classes

there's others but I'm feeling lazy right now

Cool thread. :fist:

NYE plans: Staying at home with the younger sibs while my folks go to some serious midlife crisis parties, but looking to come into some quality brews at least.

Resolution: Get down to the 155-160 lbs. range by the end of January (I'm floating between 165-170 right now) and maintain all year. Maybe less doable than I'd like during the two months I'll be in England, but hey, I'ma try.

I thought about going to a coworker's party, but I think I'll just stay home. I'm burnt out from all the traveling last week, and I'm not big on New Years anways.

I will, however, be up bright and early on the 1st in my Caps jersey for the Winter Classic :rockdevil :rockdevil

Be able to fully support myself as a drummer. I'm just about there. But with now being involved in 4 projects and counting. I think I can pull it off this year.

NYE: Either a house party or the local, not sure which I will choose yet.

Plans: Have AT LEAST 3/4 of the music on my hard drive as physical copies in my cod collection. Im becoming vegetarian starting new years as well, so thats gonna be a big change.

NYE Plans: Just hanging out at my house with my girlfriend and my sister. Girlfriend is staying over. There will be drinks, good food, and good times.

Resolutions: This is more just "plans for 2001"
-Record a new demo with my band. One that is FINALLY absolute pro quality so we can shop it around.
-Write even more new music.
-Find a decent job to sustain me until I
-Go to college in the fall (just community college, but I've been out of school for over 2 years, this is a big step or me)
-Maintain a great relationship with my girlfriend of about 6 months.
-Lose weight. No specific numbers, just lose weight, haha. I actually HAVE lost some weight in the last several months, I'd just like to continue my trajectory. I'm not freaking out, just eating better things and doing more, I want to continue that.

Holy mother ..... I would stretch that goal out just a tad bit, like the full year or May 2012 I like the ambition though ;)

Plans: It's my moms birthday, so probably going to dinner for that. Two opportunities to hang with friends, but we're also hanging on New Years day, so I may spend the night with my brothers, playing videos games, since I'm leaving for school on Sunday night. :(

Resolutions: My goal (set in summer 2010) was to lose 100 lbs by summer 2011, so I'm going to keep going at that. I've got about 15 more lbs to go. Ideally, I'd like to lose 40 more.

Also, I want to intern in DC over the summer, so I've got to plan that. I'd also like to go on some sort of vacation over spring break or summer beween DC and school.

Finally, I'd like to get a girlfriend. This has been a goal since I was 13, so I don't have very high hopes. I've lost weight and lowered my standards, so hopefully something happens.

NYE plans involve a party with Rising Pain, Lago, and Black Pathology, a bottle of Jameson Special Reserve, and a cute redhead.

Plans for 2011: Tour, tour, tour! We have dates planned for January, March, and June, but hopefully we'll do way more than that. Also plan on getting some studio time in there somewhere.

I don't really have any plans yet, but my resolution is to not eat so much crap next year. I'm not really trying to lose weight, I just want to eat more healthy so I can have more energy and not end up overweight as my metabolism slows over the years.

NYE I will be having dinner with my girlfriend at some nice restaurant. Then back to my place to watch the ball drop.

I know, not really exciting.

As for resolutions, I'd like to drop some more weight. I've kinda leveled off after dropping the first 25. I need to lose another 25-30.

I'd also like to learn another language before my next trip to Europe. Whenever that is.

Have you read that book? I probably would have thought the same thing but there are things in there that I learned through trial and error over many years that it spells out for people. I wish I had read it when I was in 11th grade. If you're that age, that book will change your life. I guarantee it.

If you want a real tip get a bi-sexual girlfriend. I spent most of my life looking for the metal/video game chick and like Maiden said it's like finding the Holy grail. Finding a bi-sexual girl is much easier especially in this day and age and is the gift that keeps on giving.

I'd say there's a 1/20 chance they win, assuming that Jay Cutler's most reliable target is on his own team.

I like every other team in the playoffs more than the Bears, who I believe are the most overrated team in football. Don't try and claim that the defense will keep you in games against teams like the Packers, Patriots or the Saints. They nearly lost in a shootout to the Jets. The Jets man.

Most overrated team in the league? That's seriously pushing it, the Bears have been getting disrespected all season. ESPN kept talking about the Eagles had the 2 seed locked up and the Bears wern't even mentioned in the discussion. They have been flying under the radar all season. The Jets are a good team, sure they aren't playing as well as they were earlier in the year, but they aren't jokers by any means. When it comes to the overrated team debate, I think the Giants are the most overrated team in the league, everyone gets too excited about them each year and then they blow it.

I think people underestimate how huge getting Julius Peppers was. He is clearly one of the 5 best Defensive players in football and has really taken that D Line from average to one of the best in the league.

Forte coming off a terrible year was due to bounce back and adding Chester Taylor was a solid move. All that being said they still will only go as far as Cutler takes them. If he doesn't self destruct they could surprise some teams. They seriously need to "Dilfer" him to have a shot at the Super Bowl.

Well put, I agree on all points. As much as it pains me to say I really don't see anyone beating the Patriots if they keep playing the way they have been recently.

The quality of the 49ers play is irrelevant to the discussion. The Jets aren't equipped to win in a shootout, but the Bears nearly let them do just that. Yes, they win, but the Patriots win too, and I don't think they're the best in the league either.

The way I see it, they have an inconsistent QB at best, who is just a five turnover game waiting to happen, and getting the #2 seed with that guy makes you overrated. I think you're going to see Cutler get embarrassed at some point throughout the playoffs. Be it a multiple turnover game or what, but I think it will happen. The defense proved that it can crack under pressure, because they nearly lost in a shootout to the Jets.

Julius Peppers has been huge, and I think you have to credit him just as much if not more than Brian Urlacher. Peppers is having one of his best years with the Bears. Also, I think Martz is doing well with Forte. He's realizing he's great at catching out of the backfield, and will put him in those situations often.

As much as it pains me to say I really don't see anyone beating the Patriots if they keep playing the way they have been recently.

They can lose to any team in the playoffs if that team gets solid play out of their corners and linebackers. Hell, even the Bears could do it if Peppers plays his A-game. The whole team revolves around Tom Brady and him being calm, and if you take that away from them, they'll quickly realize that a 27th ranked defense will get them nowhere. I like either the Cheifs or the Ravens at some point throughout the playoffs to beat them.

NYE plans: get wasted with a few friends. :dorky:

Resolution: Stop smoking altogether. I don't do it regularly but given how terrible my personality is I think it's best for me to just stop entirely before it becomes a regular thing.
