i'm looking forward to the list. i heard A Day To Remember, The Wonder Years, August Burns Red, Big D & The Kid's Table, Miss May I, and a few others are gonna be there. i wouldn't be suprised if Asking Alexandria, Attack Attack, or We Came as Romans are on this too.

I wish Rise Against would play again...or just tour next year which would be better

Last year improved with DEP, ETID, and AWK. Also Sum 41 was cool for me.

I probably won't go regardless of who's there, the six or so bands I usually end up liking on the lineup aren't worth the six+ hours of bands I don't like.

Yeah pretty much happened to me last year. It's at a local stadium, I was pumped for DEP and AWK but then the day came. It was hot as fuck and with no schedule released online I wouldn't know when those bands were playing. So I stayed home and saved $60.

I might go this year since I have friends who go every year and this would be our senior summer, so it will be cool to attend. Hopefully there are a handful of good bands I can watch.

They have already confirmed. Also Elctrikchair is on it as well.

I'm friends with Andrew and he confirmed that Elctrikchair is definitely doing the entire Warped Tour.

According to the site, the first bands are:

Dance Gavin Dance
Every Avenue
Go Radio
We Came As Romans
The Word Alive

:2cents:

I had a great time at Warped last year despite getting way sunburned, throwing up and passing out, and it was so hot that some kid died at my date from heat exhaustion. DEP and AWK were great and it was really fun to just walk around and see some random bands. Caught the former guitarist of Taking Back Sunday's new band and they didn't sound too bad.

You would consider Botch metalcore? Interesting. I can understand Converge, but they are definitely a *unique* band to the genre.

I guess I like early metalcore like 7 Angels 7 Plagues, Misery Signals, Shai Hulud... But I also love the contemporary, like KSE (Especially their early stuff), Unearth, As I Lay Dying, even some Parkway Drive.

I wouldn't call Botch just mathcore, but it is a pretty big part of their music. I think all of the bands in the original strain of metalcore (combining metal and hardcore; not today's definition, which is the melodic, At The Gates-esque type) had a bunch of mathcore influence. Bands like Converge, Coalesce, Dillinger Escape Plan, etc.

Honestly, I just refer to those bands as "hardcore."

The Warped Tour lineup isn't even fully announced yet, so I think its too early to say the lineup sucks yet. That being said, Warped Tour's lineup so far has alot of shitty bands so far, but most Warped Tour lineups tend to have a good amount of crap on them. Its hard for me not to be hard on Warped my school is full of all the scene "hardcore" kids and they dont shut the fuck up about those kinds of bands. There are a few metal heads there that actually like good music but most kids in my school listen to shit and think they are all high and mighty because of it. Its annoying.

Same, but we have a bigger problem with kids who consider themselves metalheads after buying Enter Sandman off of iTunes.

It makes my skin crawl when horns start showing up on those yearbook pictures when I know for a fact the closest thing to 'metal' they listen to is Glee's cover of Don't Stop Believing. Also 'punk' kids claiming listening to Green Day and Rise Against is punk.

These days, they usually just throw in a couple of token "classic" Warped Tour bands like NOFX or Bad Religion and call it good.

I haven't seen either so I'd love to. Plus Warped always has a few fun ska bands. I'd go for that :)

The Devil Wears Prada and August Burns Red are all but confirmed at this point.

I'd like to step up to the plate:

I know both co-headlining bands along with one of the direct support bands on the tour. I do a lot of press stuff and tend to be able to get information out of certain bands. I announce a lot of tours early over on the Absolutepunk messageboards(If you would like to know how i know and that i am not bullshitting, send me a PM).

Out of the respect of 2 of the 3 bands that I am talking about, they have some touring going on in the next bit. When one of them finishes up their tour I'll announce the co-headliners on here if you'd like.

A kid once told me he listened to metal - I asked him what bands and he listed Three Days Grace, Limp Bizkit and Linkin Park.

I will have to agree with you, there are more posers than anything. Idc if people like that "hardcore" shit as long as their not high and mighty about it. But the posers are the worst.

There is a kid in my class that will download any band that you talk about just to jump on the banwagon and he also thinks Black Album is Metallicas best album because of Enter Sandman and Nothing Else Matters. He calls himself a hardcore metalhead :eyes:

I listen to almost every sub-genre of metal there is, so I have to put it out there that I do like a few hardcore bands (Comeback Kid, Terror, Kvelertak, Hatebreed :tp:) and that there actually aren't kids at my school that even know what hardcore is other than me. So I don't have to worry about that.

Yeah, I have a friend like that. I would show him a band (Rammstein, Ramones, Metallica, Slayer, Kreator, System of a Down, Led Zeppelin) and he would claim it wasn't his type. A week later he would march into the school wearing a band tee of theirs, talking about how much he loves them. It pissed the shit out of me (quite a contradictory statement) and I to this day tell him he has no right to make fun of me for liking metalcore when he said that he didn't like Metallica because they were too satanic for him and that he didn't like Slayer because he doesn't like death metal. :D Speaking of death metal, he says he 'loves' Cannibal Corpse when he only has Hammer Smashed Face on his iPod.

So far, it's looking like this for me.
I'm not judging by shit or not shit - I think I haven't heard the majority of bands on the lineup this year. I'm just looking at the perspective of whether they'd be interesting to see.

Must-See/Most Likely Will See
A Day To Remember (Like 'em)
Enter Shikari (Recommended by friend)
The Acacia Strain (Hear good stuff about 'em on here)
Street Dogs (:rocker:)
Relient K (Recommended by friend)
Less Than Jake (Like 'em)
A Skylit Drive (Recommended by friend)
Winds of Plague (Hear good stuff about 'em on here)
Foxy Shazam (Hear stuff about their shows, curious)

Sure, If Nobody Else Is Clashing
Simple Plan (Companion likes them)
Attack Attack! (Companion likes them)
The Devil Wears Prada (Curious)
Against Me! (Seen 'em once, they're good)
August Burns Red (Not a big fan, but met them in person and they're pretty cool)
Moving Mountains (:D)
Hellogoodbye (Companion LOVES them)
Miss May I (Will see if their show with Black Dahlia Murder here in May is any good)
D.R.U.G.S. (Curious)
Every Avenue (Really don't know why, but curious)
Asking Alexandria (Companion likes them)
There For Tomorrow (Alright live)
Madina Lake (Companion likes them/Curious)
Lionize (DethMaiden seems to like them ;))

SKA SECTION
The Aggrolites
The Exposed
The Expendables
Pepper
Big D and The Kids Table

That's about it. I'm not taking the whole thing too seriously though, so don't be surprised if there's a lot of shit in that list.

They're trying way to hard to be a hardcore band, and its coming off as a bad Limp Bizkit clone. What happened to the epic symphonic deathcore? Its gone. All gone. Thats what made them unique and stand out from the rest of the deathcore crowd. Now... I don't even know. Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyy...

Don't appreciate that I have to wait until the day of the show to find the running order. I like to plan ahead.
