At The Gates to do more shows in 2011

Swedish melodic death metal pioneers AT THE GATES have been confirmed for next year's edition of the Metaltown festival, set to take place June 17-18, 2011 in Gothenburg, Sweden.

The festival billing is shaping up as follows:

SYSTEM OF A DOWN
AT THE GATES
CRADLE OF FILTH
PARKWAY DRIVE
RAUBTIER

Commented AT THE GATES in a statement: "AT THE GATES will do a limited run of select shows in 2011. Simply put, we had the time of our lives during the 2008 reunion and have decided to do a couple of more shows. Although we won't be touring extensively, and we stick to the initial promise of not making any more music."

According to the MDF coordinators, they tried to get Carcass as a headliner for next year but they said they weren't playing any shows in 2011. So maybe in 2012 Carcass will return.

I like Carcass just fine, I just like the other bands more. At The Gates by a LOT, and I'd just rather see System over Carcass.

Maybe if Carcass had a really good touring line-up of goregrind bands, but you and I both know it'll be dumb bands like last time.
