I hear that SOAD and Foo Fighters are definitely playing.

I don't live anywhere around where Rock On The Range is, but so far that's a pretty good bill, being only two bands so far.

For some reason, I feel the lineup is only going to get shittier from here on out.

Just like Rockfest in WI. Well, they did have Apocalyptica and AIC last year. Other than that, not too impressive. Not like it was for the first 10 years.

If this is true i am happy to have relatives who live right outside of Columbus. Seeing SOAD would be amazing especially since i dint get to see their last tour after i was planning to. I would enjoy seeing the Foo Fighters live. I love Dave Grohl even though the Foo Fighters don't make good albums, only good songs.

I'm only five or so hours from Columbus, but I doubt I'd goto this even if SOAD does play.

I haven't seen it put that way before, but that's dead true.

Disagree. Well, mostly. I'd say that's true now, but The Colour and the Shape and There Is Nothing Left To Lose are both excellent albums.

There's only four songs on The Colour and the Shape that I can even remember.

Does this mean Mayhem is looking less plausible?

I think ROTR is usually at the end of May anyway. I wouldn't figure it would. They do this, then Europe festivals and then still have time for Mayhem. Time would still line up I would think.

I am not 100% certain about any bands on Mayhem Fest yet. I have a contact who is involved with an aspect of ROTR and those were a few of the bands he was told about that he decided to share with me. Of course that is not official by any means.

I think SOAD on Mayhem makes sense and cents for all involved. If they do not play it would be a suprise to me. Then again, unless Mayhem offered it to them, it is possible they had the headliners signed before they knew SOAD was back. I hope to find out more soon.

I hope SOAD plays the Canadian ROTR. I will be at that one.

are foo fighters still even doing anything?
SOAD makes a lotta sense, if the lineups that badass this year I might go. Im like 4 hours away from columbus, and Ive always wanted to go to one. so WOOOO! :D
actually that gets my hopes up for SOAD being on mayhem fest. cuz tickets have BEEN on sale for both *prays*

With Slipknot returning it would not be a big suprise to see them on ROTR as a warm up show before they go to Europe... IMO.

If Foo Fighters headline a day at ROTR I will be there.

And I disagree about the whole "They make good songs but not good albums" thing. The Colour and the Shape is an excellent album, and In Your Honor is a great double album that really showcases both the electric and acoustic side of the band. I'm happy they're still around making music.

ROTR is a pretty awesome festival. I could care less about Foo Fighters, but SOAD would be an AMAZING headliner. Now tell me who is on the side stages; thats all I care about! Mastodon was awesome last time around.

to those asking about the timing. ROTR 2011 is may 20-22 2011 and will actually be 3 days this year with friday night being a preshow party, with those who have two day passes admitted to this party.

Aw, fuck me. I hate A7X. Chevelle isn't that bad though. Reminds me of Tool. Seriously though, Tool would make an AWESOME fucking headliner for ROTR.
