hmm..

i still got my money on Mayhem Fest. maybe that's why Mayhem is giving out the holiday package so early and the full lineup is being announced earlier than usually

Yeah, SOAD would do much better I think with their own tour.

I think they're headlining Mayhem next year. The release of the Mayhem dates and the announcement of their "re-union" tour are too close together.

The Mayhem line up will not be announced until late January, either the 26th or the 28th.

I think the SOAD press release will be about their European tour dates only. I am not 100% sure if they are on Mayhem or not, but it would make sense if they did play it. Several other bands from their era (Slipknot, Disturbed, etc) have played it already.

It would be hard for SOAD to run tours against the Big 4, Mayhem, Uproar and perhaps Ozzfest or CrueFest.

SOAD are expected to be announced as one of the headliners for the Download festival in the UK this weekend, so I agree the upcoming announcement is likely to be a European tour. That's been the rumour all along anyway.

I would imagine they're gonna announce European festival dates and subsequent offdates, I would imagine Dublin will get a date and other places that don't offer a festival. Mayhen is still a strong possibility all things considered.

first, its the 26th. on the mayhem fest site it says that
second, I think that theyre gonna announce the european tour monday. but it really really wouldnt surprise me to see them headline mayhem fest this year. to have them have their own tour, vs the big 4 (if it happens) vs mayhem fest, vs ozzfest, vs uproar (if that goes on), and so on...just a bad idea. which seriously makes me wanna buy my mayhem fest ticket like NOW btw :D

SYSTEM OF A DOWN's much-rumored comeback/reunion tour is expected to be announced on Monday, November 29, along with details of several European festival appearances in 2011, including the U.K.'s Download.

reading this makes me think it's not a European tour. i think they'll do a lot of European festivals that will take place in June, and then they'll do Mayhem Fest in July-Aug. that'd make a lot of sense.

so would i but if they do a headline arena tour as a reunion tour it'll sell out quick and many people won't get the chance to see them. if they do Mayhem then everyone could see them and it'll also give Mayhem Fest a lot of ticket sales. if they do infact end up doing Mayhem i could see a headline arena tour after it.

The average time a band plays is 80-90 minutes when they headline, even it it's just them and 2 or 3 opening acts.

Thanks fonz.

They got 90 minutes or so on Ozzfest, which was 22 songs. They did 28 songs on their last headlining tour.

I won't lie. I hate Killswitch Engage, Bullet For my Valentine, A7F and all that horse shit....But I still had a blast, plus We mainly went to see 3 bands and just to have a good time. :rocker:

Its funny how so many people here talking shit on 09s line up are the same people that loved 08.....Don't get me wrong I use to love bands like Disturbed but that was when I was in elementary/Middleschool when I was like 11/12 years old, back when I thought groups like limp bizket, slipknot, disturbed where the most hardcore bands of all time....but I have to quote tony D on a thread he said awhile awhile backk which was something along the lines of... "alot of us grew out of that shit"

Monday they are going to announce they have reunited for a tour. It will name some Euro festivals. Not sure if they are on Mayhem, but if the Euro festivals do not interfere with the Mayhem dates and they do not announce the dates of a US tour I am betting my money that they are headlining Mayhem Fest.

they usually do play some stuff off pre-RTR. maybe it'll only be like 4 songs but at least it's something.

and i gotta disagree about DT, We Are The Void was terrible. probably the worst album i've heard from 2010.

I hate when people constantly quote popular comdies. (ie; Hangover, Step Brothers, Knocked Up). I actually thought the hangover was pretty funny when I first saw it then I got sick of it when I hear all the kids in the hallways at school yelling "paging doctor faggot".
