Pretty sure there will be more dates confirmed soon. I recently read an announcement from a Toronto promoter asking if there would be interest in seeing Accept sometime in 2011.

I'd like to see Accept, Overkill and Sabaton would be cool to but the Jaxx date is the day before Maiden. Gonna have to pass.

Thanks for catching that.

A weird lineup? It's old school heavy metal + old school thrash metal + new-ish power metal band that doesn't suck. Seems pretty good to me.

I'm really excited for this now. I'm starting to get into Accept now, especially with their new album being awesome. And with Overkill being on the bill, there is no way I'm missing this.

I just saw Accept last month but I'd go again.

They better play Midnight Mover this time around, god damn it!!!

God damn, that's a metal as hell lineup. If they play closer than NYC, I'll be there.

I've gotten into Accept a good bit recently, and I missed Overkill when they were here last week, so I hope this comes close.

Man, I would definitely catch this show. I was disappointed that I missed Overkill this year so I was hoping that I could catch them next year. And getting to see Accept again would be excellent.

I wonder who would headline this show? I would think that Accept would headline but that site lists Accept and Sabaton as support to Overkill?

I was just commenting that it was a strange lineup, not that it was necessarily a bad one.

Awesome! Had to pass on Overkill twice this year but the lineups weren't too great. Now I might get to see them with a great lineup, please keep it at these 3 bands.

I missed Overkill the last 2 times they came around and im not letting it happen again. And I've been waiting for a chance to see Accept for a while now.

i hope this tour comes to MA, i missed Overkill a few days ago, and Accept would be amazing to see live along with Sabaton.

Definitely don't really got the comments about this being a weird lineup. I mean given the scope of the genre, these 3 bands don't sit too far apart from eachother. Accept definitely kinda bridges the gap between Overkill and Sabaton. And while Sabaton are classified as "power metal", they are NO doubt among the more aggressive, straight-forward, and traditional styled bands around in the genre today.

I would expect the show to run like this:
Sabaton playing like 40 or 45 minutes as the definite opener. Accept or Overkill could probably headline - based on seeing them both, I'd say they're doing about equally these days, and both coming off of really strong and well received records. I'd say no matter who is the headliner, the other band is gonna play like 70+ minutes.

This. This lineup makes a hell of a lot of sense to me.

This line-up makes more sense than teaming Accept with King's X.

I'm sure many power metal bands were influenced by the double-bass and twin guitar attack of Fast as a Shark.

This. Though of all 4 bands in this equation, King's X is my favorite.

Also, this. Several power metal bands have covered that exact tune. Sadly the one I want to hear the most (Dungeon's) is the one I can't fucking find. :(

I updated the OP and the thread title.

Sucks that Overkill isn't doing the whole tour, but awesome that they will be there in New York.

So who will headline the dates with Overkill?

I hope they both get around 70mins. And giving Sabaton a 45mins set should be good.

Overkill are apparently ONLY playing the NYC date of this tour and they will headline.

Overkill's West Virginia date at Jaxx is on the 15th, not the 13th.

Jaxx is in Virginia, not West Virginia. Virginia has a lot more teeth.

That actually kind of sucks. I've happily seen Overkill twice this year, but they're probably going to eat into Accept and Sabaton's set times

Hmmmm... may be making a trip to Montreal instead...
