Check it out, yo. I did some pretty cool interviews for this, and I think the final product came out great. Some stuff that sucks about it was done in the editing process, so don't blame me.

This is by far the best story I've written this year, so if you hate it just don't tell me. :finger:

Enjoy!

Haven't read it yet, but...

...please tell me you didn't use Shadow of the Colossus. EVERYONE does that.

Actually, no. Although it would be valid, and it did come up in a couple of my interviews.

The only game mentioned by name in the article is Fable.

I skimmed through it as I don't have time to read this right now, but I agree with the sentiment!

i always thought Myst had cool artwork. theres some japanese games with really impressive art too, although i think alot of japanese art has become an unintentional parody of itself lately (ie: shit like Bayonetta)

It's not so much whether games are visual art, I think it's inarguable that they are. It's whether, taken as a whole, a video game can be considered a work of art, just like whether a film or opera or whatever can.

Spoiler alert: they can.

Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess was beautiful.

well if we're talking stories and peaking intellectual interest, look no further than deus ex. not only an incredibly fun story to escape into, but overall a very detailed game.

Bayonetta does NOT take itself seriously AT ALL.
