Musicpix.net recently conducted an interview with GWAR frontman Oderus Urungus. You can now watch the chat below. A couple of excerpts follow.

On LORDI:

"Did you see how the guys from LORDI threw out their drummer because he took his costume off? See, if they just were like GWAR, they wouldn't have to wear costumes, they could just be themselves."

On Rob Zombie:

"I think Rob Zombie is, like, the most plagiaristic, uninspired... 'Let's remake 'Halloween'... Let's steal everything from 'Texas Chainsaw Massacre' and put in my movie and pretend like it's mine.' If they would step up and let GWAR, which has been the most consistently awesome force in shock-rock for 25 fucking years, let GWAR make a fucking movie about... about GWAR, and it would be super-cool . . . We'd love to just shake our magic dick wand and make a movie, but unfortunately, these things cost millions of dollars to do and I have a crack habit to support, which is fucking pretty considerable. But if Rob Zombie was willing to spend his money, I would let him make a movie about me."

TheRave.com will be streaming a live GWAR concert on Halloween — Sunday, October 31 — from the Rave/Eagles Club in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The webcast will begin at 11 p.m. ET / 10 p.m. CT. The stream will allow fans around the world to view GWAR's backstage preparation to enter the blood-soaked battlefield that is the insanity of GWAR's infamous live shows, plus footage of the bloody scum dogs who survived, and backstage after the show where GWAR revels in their killing field victories.

GWAR lead singer Oderus Urungus says about the broadcast, "We will be offering the entire human race the chance to see our Halloween show in Milwaukee via the Internet… That's right — a pay-per-view first-hand worldwide ringside seat to our sickest show this year and for a reasonable price as well."

Tickets for this exclusive stream are $2.99 if you order before October 15, $3.99 if you order between October 16-30 and $4.99 the day of the broadcast.

TheRave.com is the online entertainment source for The Rave/Eagles Club, well known as one of America's most haunted live entertainment complexes.

TheRave.com most recently streamed live concerts from SHINEDOWN, UNDEROATH, BENNY BENASSI, DEVILDRIVER, EPICA, VADER and others. These webcasts have been seen by over 100,000 people in over one hundred countries.

The Rave/Eagles club is a 180,000-square-foot entertainment complex with seven concert halls in one building, four of which are already wired for simultaneous live broadcasts, with anywhere from three to eight cameras. Over 2000 bands will play the facility in 2010.

If they were talking about his recent music, it would make some sense. But what movies have Gwar made that were better than any of Zombie's?

Right, because GWAR have always been so varied and original in their approach to everything. Loser.

Phallus in Wonderland, Skulheadface, and It's Sleazy.

Phallus in Wonderland, Skulheadface, and It's Sleazy.

Scratch that last one.
GWAR is extremely fucking varied and original. Maybe not now, but they were.

And Lordi kicking their drummer out is hilarious.

I'd see a Rob Zombie snuff film featuring GWAR. In 3D.

Odd wikipedia says that Oderus Urungus is 47 but he sounds like he is 4.

He isn't 4 or 47, he's 43 billion

Shouldn't he be more mature at 43 billion.

Dude it's a fucking character, what don't you understand about that.

I understand he's a character it's not like I think the members of gwar are real monsters.

The immaturity of his statement is just a part of the Oderus character. GWAR isn't a band to be taken 100% seriously, hence the talks of magic dicks and crack habits.

Aww, you missed out.
He claimed Oderus Urungus had the maturity of a 4 year old (and then went on to, it appears, change Dave Brockie's wikipedia age to 4) and also said a bunch of ignorant typical Indestructible stuff. I'm sure a lot of it is quoted.

I didn't want to make a new topic for this but gwar is being inducted into the Harvard Lampoon SOURCE (http://www.smnnews.com/2010/10/14/the-harvard-lampoon-beckons-gwar/)

His comments about Zombie are pretty much bang-on methinks.
