OMG OMG OMG. This makes up for both the Suffocation and Skeletonwitch tours not coming here. It's on a freakin Saturday too :rocker:

Can't wait for the new album as well.

I feel for you man :hecho:

Drop a few e-mails to the venue. Apparently a Russian Circles gig here got switched to all ages after enough demand was proven. I'd imagine Agalloch would get a huge crowd since they don't play live all that often.

Pretty excited for this record. I like all the Agalloch I'm familiar with but haven't actually gone through and bought their albums. This album will probably get me all revved up and make me buy The Mantle and Ashes Against the Grain at the same time.

Serious question - how old are you? Fake ID isn't the hardest thing in the world to come by.

From the bottom of this interview: http://www.brooklynvegan.com/archives/2010/08/an_interview_w_42.html

*Shortly after this interview, I was lucky enough to catch Agalloch's John Haughm perform with my friends in Vindensang at a rare performance in Philadelphia, PA, and during a chat after the gig, he confirmed that Agalloch will be embarking on an East Coast tour in March 2011. Keep your ears to the ground!

If Ashes Against the Grain doesn't put your jaw to the floor the first time you hear it, then nothing will.

I've only heard The Mantle and The White but was very impressed.

I'd recommend AATG and Of Stone, Wind and Pillor. Their two best works in my opinion. The Mantle is different, and really somber, while Ashes Against the Grain is more of a frustrated yet more focused effort. You can't go wrong with Agalloch though. One of my favorite bands.

AATG is pretty fucking awesome, IMO

mantle was more acoustic, ashes has very little of that. its more desolate and seems like an improved effort of what they were trying to do with their first album. if you were to compare the albums to seasons id say the mantle is fall, while ashes is winter.

Sounds like they feel guilty they left the Mantle-esque acoustic sound out of Ashes. I really dig the synthesis of the two sounds so far. This album's gonna rule.
