Not sure what I think of this. one moment I think he was justified, and then the next I say grow the heck up.

Guns N' Roses hasn't been fucking relevant for the last 20 years.

Someone on Fark made a rather interesting observation: Axl gets bottles thrown at him and walks off in a huff. Justin Bieber had bottles thrown at him and kept playing. Food for thought.

It's more newsworthy if he finishes a show.

Fucking glad I never paid 70 euro to see that, and after my attack at Blink 182 the night (long story, ended up missing Blinks set due to being in the medical area) it did cheer me up to hear what a travesty it was. After going on 90 minutes late, without apology, he didn't even attempt to win over the crowd, just acted like this was perfectly normal. Terrible behaviour altogether. I don't generally agree with bottle throwers, however in this instance, I agree with them.

I'll transfer the memories of one of my three blink shows to you.

Do you want New Found Glory/Alkaline Trio, Cypress Hill/Taking Back Sunday, or Weezer/Matt & Kim/Taking Back Sunday/The Von Bondies opening?

At least Axl warned the fans before storming off this time. That shows SOME maturity on his part:lol: Sure them coming on stage late does raise the ire of the fans but this is GNR what the fuck where they expecting? A prompt start time? No matter what time a band comes on they are playing for you. There is no reason to throw shit at them. How would someone like it is some one kept throwing stuff at you at your job? You would probably say fuck it and storm off to.

In some ways Axl is justified in leaving the stage. But the promoters are to blame as well. Why on earth would you book GNR to headline a festival that has a midnight curfew knowing the reputation Axl has of not coming on until he feels like it? It's not like this is news at all. GNR have been been hitting the stage whenever they feel like it since the begining.

To mankvill's comment about them not being relevant for 20 years. It was maybe about ten years ago when people relized they weren't getting back together so It hasn't been quite as long as you think.
