Hmm, I might be able to make it to this now that it's on a Friday. But I have a lot of plans in November.

Awesome! Can't wait for this! Too bad the show is at the Whiskey and not the UV Lounge where Dan Dismal would probably let them go a little bit crazier on stage than the Whiskey would.

I get 2 dates...:)

Think I'll only make one, but to know a quick drive up to Sacramento for the day is another option is great. Venue in Sacramento is tiny too.

I'll be at the Baltimore date for sure. The Sonar is a pretty good venue and I'm pretty sure will let them get away with more than Jaxx would have.

Okay, it looks like I might make it to the Pittsburgh date as well. For those who live there, what's Mr. Smalls like? (venue size, stage height, is there any distance between stage and crowd, etc.)

Mr. Smalls is where 95% of all metal bands that come through Pittsburgh plays. It's an old, gutted out church, and it's a pretty tiny venue. There's a couple feet between the stage and crowd, and the stage is probably like 5 feet high. There's a 21+ bar section in the back, too.

The show in Pittsburgh is on a Saturday, if that helps your case at all.

The show in Pittsburgh is on a Saturday, if that helps your case at all.Well like I said, the Cleveland date looks feasible. However, the Pittsburgh date it tempting because I've been wanting to check out the poker room at the Rivers Casino - my brother went there a few weeks ago and said it's awesome. That would be a sweet way to spend a Saturday night...Watain, Goatwhore and Black Anvil followed by a visit to a nice brand-new poker room. :metal:

But, there are two other shows going on that same night that are on my radar as well. Nile / Ex Deo / Psycroptic / Keep of Kalessin / Pathology are playing at Peabody’s in Cleveland (which requires no road trip, and it's relatively cheap - $20). Also, Clutch and Children of Bodom are playing at the Congress Theater in Chicago (which is near where my in-laws live). If I could convince my wife take a trip to go visit her parents that weekend, I might get to see Clutch again and play poker in the casinos there (I got to see Giant Squid, Grayceon, Meshuggah, Arsis, Exodus and Arch Enemy that way:)). So, I gotta figure out which play is the best one. Three good choices equals a nice problem to have. ;)

If you saw Nile on their last tour you should definitely go to Watain. If not... well, that's a dilemna.

EDIT:  Actually, right now I'm leaning towards Clutch in Chicago on 11/6 and Watain in Cleveland on 12/1. Win / win.
