Sabbath should do a tour with the lineup Martin/Iommi/Butler/Ward and play a lot of Martin era stuff. It would be much better than having Ozzy sing.

I highly doubt that Martin would ever rejoin Sabbath, and even if he did Ward would definately not be a part of it. Though it would be something I would love to see.

Martin has said he's not gonna work with Iommi again after getting kicked to the curb twice before. But then again, Martin isn't doing anything and can't get his solo band booked anywhere so he probably needs a paycheck. So I wouldn't rule it out. Of course if Iommi reunites with Martin, Iommi isn't gonna be getting a big paycheck either and will have a hard time booking gigs to:D

Also, i'm not sure why Ward would join them at all given that he never played with the Martin era and the only singer Bill wants to play drums for in Sabbath is Ozzy. Too bad Cozy Powell is no longer with us as he would be great as the drummer. Is Bobby Rondinelli still around and active? They can just get him to play drums and reunite the lineup that recorded Cross Puprposes. I would be cool with that.

I saw them on this tour in 1995. The set is the same except they did Children Of The Sea at the show I saw:light: I can't remember where in the set it was though. It was somewhere in the later half I know that.

Yeah, he's been playing with Over the Rainbow. He's a beast of a drummer.

I didn't know that. I looked it up and you're right, Bill did indeed join them on the last four dates of the tour. Bill probably wouldn't do anything now though unless there's an Ozzy reunion. He's had some heart problems in the past so his health is an issue.

Ward is an amazing drummer, but I dunno if he could handle the Martin era material with his health these days.

I would kill to see some of the Martin stuff performed live!!

Yeah ... i'd rather see a reunion with Tony Martin than with Ozzy at the moment. Ozzy is busy touring "Scream" anyway and the original line-up reunion can wait until next year or even 2012.

I love every album Sabbath made with Tony Martin and sadly i never got to see any of those tours. I saw Sabbath with Ozzy in 1999 and with Dio in 1992 and 2007. Now it'd be great to see the Martin era songs!! :horns:

Forget handling the Martin era stuff. The drumming Bill did in the 70s was far more complicated and innovative than any drumming from the Martin era. Bill would have and easier time with that than with a lot of the Ozzy material.

Ozzy's vocal limitations are one of the reasons the reunion sets didn't change at all. But Bill's limitations on what he could do also played a part in that.
