Megadeth's set is decent. Slayer didn't play raining blood?

Nope. I thought that their set was kind of dissapointing. We could barely hear Hanneman's guitar...

That's the kind of Mastodon set that I want to see after they stop playing Crack The Skye in full.

too bad that Alice Cooper played between Slayer and Megadeth, it completly kill the carnage mood that Slayer had installed. I have nothing against him but quite frankly he's pretty much a joke with all his gimmicks on stage.

Also, I hated Rob Halford's set. what the fuck did he play all set long. Not a single fucking Priest song c'mon !!?? boring.

the rest of the bands were pretty good even thought I didn't know much about them

Cheers !

hasn't Slayer played Raining Blood at every single show since its release? it's not that great live anyway... wait, they played Hate Worldwide INSTEAD of Raining Blood?

also, I don't think Mustaine knows the meaning of 'free.'

the free Megadeth show at Le Metropolis did happenned (you just needed your HEAVY MTL ticket stub to enter):

here is what they play according to setlist.fm

1.Dialectic Chaos
2.This Day We Fight!
3.Wake Up Dead
4.In My Darkest Hour
5.Skin O' My Teeth
6.Angry Again
7.The Right to Go Insane
8.Hook In Mouth
9.She-Wolf
10.Mechanix
11.Paranoid

Encore:

12.Anarchy In The U.K.
13.Rattlehead

300 people attended only, the place must have looked pretty empty it could hold up 2300 when full. He should have made this secret gig a little less secret

Cheers !

That's a very solid lineup for one day of a festival.

That Megadeth secret show sounded amazing.

Mastodon's set is fantastic. Hope they keep the set something along those lines for BlackDiamondSkye.

If I see the set filled with something like that, then I'll do my best to make it to BlackDiamondSkye. I'm not a Deftones fan, and casually like AIC. It's just the weeknight thing doesn't work out for me very often.

It's a solid set with a lot of older stuff in there. I'm surprised they're opening with Divinations as opposed to Oblivion.

FINALLY Mastodon is breaking up CTS. And High on Fire had to stick around an extra day to do 5 songs before flying to England and playing another show in less than 24 hours

Were you on a far side of the stage? Because Slayer has each guitar come out of the extreme left and right sides so if you're too far to the left, you won't hear the right.

I was on a hill in the back because the crowd was too dense and I couldn't get close to the stage or the pits.
