Turbin and Paul Di'Anno should do a tour together. Market it as two washed up singers who's legendary bands they were fired from went on the sell millions after their depature:lol:

Also, as big of an Anthrax fan as I am this is the first time I recall seeing what Neil Turbin looks like. So thanks for the pics.

My pleasure. And I wouldn't call Neil 'washed up'. Paul DiAnno yes, but not Neil. His live vocals are still as good as any thrash vocalist I've ever seen.

Damn I forgot to include the Sabbath cover in the set list. It was dedicated to RJD. Fixed!

lol dude that's fucked up. neil isn't washed up... i've seen deathriders twice and he sounds great as ever. now di'anno on the other hand... fucking horrible! he was good on the 1st 2 maiden albums but i tried watching a more recent vid of him doing wrathchild and he sounds like shit. too many drugs i guess

andrew where was the show at? wish i would've known about it. both of the times i've seen him the gigs were really small. one was at a battle of the bands gig with him as a special guest and the other was at the black castle with michael angelo batio

Hey man .. I agree with you. And even if Anthrax went on to sell millions after Neil's departure, frankly I don't give a flying fuck about the Joey or John Bush albums. There I said it.

The show was at the Whisky. According to their schedule I don't think they have an LA area show for the next couple of months at least. It was free too. All you had to do was post your full name on the facebook event page.

haha i wouldn't say all that i like belladonna a lot but don't give a shit about john bush. but yeah i agree neil is better... he's part of the reason why fistful of metal is my fave album

and back to maiden... i love bruce, him and dio (RIP) are my 2 favorite metal singers but frankly i don't like bruce singing di'anno songs. i just don't think he sounds right. yet at the same time i think bruce sounds better singing those songs than di'anno himself. di'anno just sounds like a really bad cover singer. it's sad

fuck! first i miss the free ozzy gig and now this!

I agree and I don't. Bruces voice is too high for the Di'anno era stuff but he does do a really good job of making them much more melodic. he makes em. work.

Kick ass pics and interview btw Andrew!! :horns:

:nonono:

Joey>Neil>Bush.

And i would still love to see Di'Anno live. The first two maiden albums are my favorites and I fuckin love his voice. Even if hes a fat cholo now,i still respect him. But I do find it lame for him talking shit about recent Maiden. Neil never brings up Anthrax's success.I really hope Deathriders win that Kiss contest.

His vocals have dipped a little but it's still very cool to hear the original vocals on the early songs so highly recommend it :horns: and he does look like a cholo  you can tell all his tats are prison tats :eyes:

Neil's drummer (Dave Chedrick) used to live in my home town. He was the drummer of a legendary thrash act out my way called Graphic Violence.
