This is one of the best opening bands for Behemoth in recent memory, mostly because maybe it'll nudge Behemoth in the direction of playing more of their black metal stuff.

Agreed. It would be cool to see them play their old black metal stuff, but I doubt they'll play anything off Grom or Pandemonic Incantations, but I could see them putting From the Pagan Vastlands back in. Summoning (of the Ancient Ones) maybe? But maybe they'll pull out some more stuff off Thelema.6, Zos Kia Cultus, and Satanica.

I can only hope.

I'm sure some of them are but out of the list of 5 bands you figure that at least one of them has to be doing the whole tour with the other two, but if not, that's alright with me.

December 4th is a Saturday. I'll probably go to the New Haven date, since there isn't a MA one. I love Behemoth, especially live, and it'll be cool to finally see them headline after four support sets. All the other bands on the bill are nice, too.

A special package is being offered to fans for $66.60 that includes the following items:

* 1 ticket to the show
* 1 pre-ordered copy of the BEHEMOTH DVD (shipping and handling included)
* 1 tour poster, received at the show
* 1 meet-and-greet pass to meet BEHEMOTH before the show
* Limit 40 per market

Seems like an alright deal. I'm considering it, but I'd rather do the special package for the Triptykon show.

Very good point, indeed. I met Behemoth for a brief moment before, spoke to Nergal about Evangelion, then told Inferno how he's one of my fucking heroes. And of course the lady working at the booth who was supposed to take my picture with them, messed up and the picture didn't save.

Oh, nice. I can't really say I enjoy it around here, but we seem to have been getting more shows than we have the last couple of years here this year, so that's making Pittsburgh a little bit better. We also have a new hockey arena, so I think in the next couple years it will get better for shows.

Oh that's good, unfortunately Richmond sucks for shows. Big tours never come here as there is no big arena here except for the Richmond Coliseum, which NEVER gets a concert. Mid sized stuff is our best bet with The National, I've seen Megadeth and Mastodon there. Small tours rarely, even though we do have several venues for small stuff. I guess it's just not a town that lot's of band want to tour, even though there are lots of metalheads in the downtown area..Virginia as whole is a lot better, D.C. is a 2 hour drive and gets a bunch of shows. The Jaxx Nightclub in Fairfax/Springfield gets all the shows I want to go to (including this one). But being 2 hours away, it's one of those "so close yet so far" places, atleast when you're 16. VA Beach also get's shows every one in awhile.

The thing about Pittsburgh is that bigger metal bands such as Megadeth, Lamb of God, ect. have no place to play. We have an underage club that a couple bands have played at, an old church, which is where most shows come, another small venue, and a couple bars. Then we have a stadium. There's really no in between here, so the bigger metal bands are too big for all the venues, but too small for the big ones. Whenever I spoke to Chris Adler last time Lamb of God came even he acknowledged this problem. Bands that size can only come during the summer, whenever there's an ampitheatre open outside of Pittsburgh.

Yeah, that is a problem. Richmond has a solution for that, but still nobody comes here. You guys get a lot of small shows atleast!

The power of that song alone makes me wonder if they wanted to hold off on playing it just to put it that much more over the top... Hahah. I must correct myself though. Apparently Behemoth has been here in the past, but with shit bands, and never playing a set more than 20 minutes. Get ready to make up for some lost time!

I do not want to bore you with details, but I can no longer hide the fact that I am seriously ill and waiting for my multi-stage treatment, which can take up to several months. Thus, we delete the upcoming summer festivals, planned for September and October tour in Russia and the Baltic States and the November tour in the USA.

They've headlined some of them before. Hell, I know for a fact that they've headlined Jaxx twice before. I guess we'll have to wait and see, though...

Regardless, I sincerely hope Nergal is alright and that he makes it through all this shit. Behemoth was a really important band for me and I can't fathom anything happening to the guy. :(
