i might go actually because i know a lot of my friends would be down to go to this. i could have a fun time at a show even if the bands suck if i'm with a lot of friends. that's just me though i'm sure that's definently not the case for everyone.

oh yeah, and i'd also like to see Born of Osiris.

I did not see any Thrash bands on that list.
I believe you mistyped, Trash and Burn would be more appropriate.

Oh god:bouville: How the fuck did Asking Alexandria get a headlining spot? Gow awful lineup with the exception of Born Of Osiris and Through The Eyes Of The Dead.

How the fuck did Asking Alexandria get a headlining spot?

unfortunately they've gotten extremely big within the past half year or so. their fanbase consists of 15 year scene kids. they're be long gone out of the scene by next year most likely.

:tp: can't say i expected much. this is god awful. the only reason i would have considered to go is for 36CF, but they don't seem to be on the bill..

This is great news! It decreases the likelihood of a good tour having shitty openners....they're all here!

Why does Europe get DF, Origin and Revocation and we get fucking craptastic wads of shit? That's just fucking lame.

It's not just that, it's literally all deathcore bands and weird MTV/scene kid/emo bands from 6 years ago who peaked 7 years ago.

I mean, really? Kittie? They're opening for ICP right now, dude.

...and since we're talking about played out scene shit, I'll go ahead and use a played out scene word:

That's FUX0R3D, dude. :eyes:

i personally think every year the lineup gets shittier. '08 had Darkest Hour, Arsis, Abigial Williams, Parkway Drive, After The Burial, As Blood Runs Black, all whom i like a lot. '09 had only had Veil of Maya and DevilDriver, and Despised Icon for some people. this year the only band i'd want to see is Born of Osiris and i wouldn't mind seeing Through the Eyes of the Dead.

hm now that i think about it i regret not going to 08's lineup. my friend who went said there actually wasn't too much hardcore dancing and primarily just moshing for our show.

I know they are not that liked here, but I love Periphery. They would be the only band that holds my interest. but I'm not sitting through all that shit for them to get maybe a 20 minute set, if that.

I'll hopefully get to check them out on their next tour.

Yeah, the only reason I'd go is to see Periphery. If tickets are cheap I might just go for them, even if they have a short set.

Do you know where this show is at in MN? I'm only about an hour and 20 minutes from most shows in Minneapolis. I'm ASSuming it's First Avenue. I really would love to see Periphery so maybe I would just go to see them, and leave after.

Yeah, with the Myth being closed and all, I'm gonna guess it's gonna be at First Ave.

Yeah, I fucking love Periphery. I haven't listened to anything other than their new album since I first heard of them about a month ago haha.

Same here for the most part. If I hear one track I gotta hear the whole thing. I just hope other bands will get into Periphery and get them on better tours then this so called "Thrash And Burn" crap.

Where is the thrash all i see are a bunch of bands that scream and growl and show no sign of talented singing.

While I agree with the "Where is the thrash", you do realize that talented singing and Thrash don't exactly go hand in hand, right?

I've been listening to A LOT of Periphery lately, so depending on the price I might go just to see them and leave after.

Yeah, I know what you mean, the album flows so well and the production is amazing.

Hopefully more people will look past the fact that they're signed to Sumerian and have singer that sings like a gay sometimes and listen to some of the most badass progressive shit I've heard in a while.

I was lucky enough to see them with the other singer last year and he was awesome. It's a shame they got a guy that totally sucks.

Yeah, I'm not much of a fan either. I don't like his voice, but I do like his note choices and melodies during the clean sections

I still might actually have to go, I like Periphery, Born of Osiris, Impending Doom and Through The Eyes of The Dead. A lot of my friends actually like Asking Alexandria, Chelsea Grin and the other shitty bands.

The only bands on this line-up that I even like are Born of Osiris and Through the Eyes of the Dead. I haven't heard anything from Periphery, but the rest of this lineup is junk :barf:

That being said, I'm glad Sumerian has this tour. It keeps most of the shitty bands from being on Summer Slaughter :D
