Watched all 3 bands. Mutiny Within = horrible imo, a bunch of kids, no set list but I know they played something Affliction, Forsaken, Suffocate, and some other one word song. Threat Signal gets the award for the most generic metalcore band ever, they did not impress even though the band seemed to think they had a good crowd. No idea what the setlist was. FINALLY DT comes on at 11! Ridiculous right? But well worth it.

Setlist:

At The Point of Ignition
The Fatalist
Focus Shift
The Wonders At Your Feet
ThereIn
Final Resistance
The Grandest Accusation
Misery's Crown
Punish My Heaven
(Edenspring)
(My Negation)
Iridium
Shadow In Our Blood
The Lesser Faith
Dream Oblivion
(Lethe)
Lost To Apathy
Terminus (Where Death Is Most Alive)

Songs in parenthesis were italicized on the setlist, meaning they were only going to be played if the band had extra time, guess they didn't have extra time. Even though I'm bummed they didn't play Lethe, The Treason Wall, The New Build, or The Endless Feed, it was an amazing show. The newer songs from We Are The Void are wayyyyyy better sounding live than on the album. Especially Dream Oblivion, Iridium, and Shadow.

Could've sworn Mikael said something about coming back soon on another tour...

Yeah, they made it sound like it was going to be a really special setlist or something. Seems pretty standard with the addition of the new material.

ehh not a bad set. a bit too much new stuff for my tastes though.

decent set. sucks that the Gallery songs are under the "if there is time" category (except Punish my Heaven) but i woudl definitely go see this.

Very disappointed with the amount of pre-1999 material.

Loved Dark Tranquillity...but when they came out with Projector...bleh.

Thanks for posting the list :). Any idea what time the meet & greet was at?

No idea about a Meet & Greet, but I talked to the band after the show as they went to the merch table and did a signing. One thing that bothered me in particular was that during Punish My Heaven the crowd went nuts, and afterwards Mikael said "wow you guys really know the old material", yet that was the only pre-Projector song of the night...You would think that if the crowd was into those songs, they'd make time for Edenspring and Lethe and cut a new song

Dark Tranquility should be proud of (The Gallery) instead of being bitchy because they can not and will never live up to it or top it.

Get over yourselves already, and play the material people actually want to hear.

The Gallery is hella overrated. Their recent albums and their first album are much better.

Not bad. Take out Haunting and put in Faceless and take out Counterbalance and put in Inane and it would be a pretty good setlist.

And really CapnAwesome, Threat Signal being metalcore....

Threat Signal sounded like a more sped up All That Remains, which are...alas...metalcore. They don't sound like a melodic death metal band, regardless of what they're classified under

I'm beginning to think you and Fonzbear are sharing the same stash.

As much as I love The Gallery, Fiction is still my favorite DT album that I have. The Gallery is probably number two.

This post should be directed at In Flames. I think DT does embrace their past and I'm sure they are proud of their early records.

That other band I mentioned... not so much.

I'm fine with most of the set being from We Are The Void, I mean after all, it's the "We Are The Void Tour" so I expect to see a good amount of new material

The problem lies with trying to play too many songs from the most recent album not counting the newest. Most bands succumb to this whenever they have released multiple records measuring a long time span. In this case, WAYYY TOO MANY Fiction songs. While Fiction is one of their better works imo, this is not a Fiction tour, and there should only be 2-3 Fiction songs MAX. I say this because they have a rather extensive catalog, and with 6 WATV songs and 4 Fiction songs the set list has no room for creativity. I'm satisfied with this show because I wanted to A) See DT again, and B) see the new songs performed live, and those did not disappoint. However "long setlist filled with difficult old and new songs" does not mean play 1 song from pre-1999 when 1/3 of your discography is from that era. I could go on about how they lack creativity from choosing songs from each album (ie why is Wonders at Your Feet the only Haven song played, same with ThereIn from Projector) but I don't want to complain TOO much ;)

i don't know why everyone always says Threat Signal is a shitty metalcore band. if you've listened to their stuff at all you'd see they're not metalcore.

i'm not a big fan of them but i really wish they'd play When All is Said is Done.

Me too. It's still a very decent album even though it's not as good as most of their other stuff.

i was re-looking at this setlist, and i really hope they change up the setlist a bit. it's nice to see Edenspring even though it's in parenthesis. even though it's a WATV tour they're playing waaay too many songs from that album and Fiction. if they're gonna play songs from Fiction, i would take out Misery's Crown and Lesser Faith then replace it with Nothing To No One.

i really hope they add at least one of these: Monochromatic Stains, The Treason Wall, Damage Done, The New Build, or The Sun Fired Blanks.

i haven't seen Dark Tranquillity since the tour with The Haunted back in '07. so i'm stoked to see them either way.

if they're gonna play songs from Fiction, i would take out Misery's Crown

Not to mention, after Misery's Crown, they go into Punish My Heaven, going from one of the weakest songs in the set to the strongest.

i saw them play it 3 years ago. was very unexpected.

What's wrong with Misery's Crown? I think that song showcases how awesome Mikael's clean vocals are.

No problems with this set, except of course I hope they play Lethe and Edenspring on Sunday. I actually really like Misery's Crown.

Wish there was more older material, but I'll be glad to be seeing them again at all, period.
