Pornogrind bands in an open-air festival = best thing ever.

Damn, that might be the first festival bill I've ever seen where I don't listen to a single one of the bands! :wow:

The smaller bands are where it's at, too. Rompeprop and down = I WANNA GO

Go get Incantation, General Surgery, fucking Master, Cattle Decapitation, Rompeprop, DRI, Martyrdod, Haemorrhage, and Misery Index RIGHT NOW.

Agreed, your missing out on some good stuff dude...

DethMaiden
05-09-2010, 06:57 PM
Meh. I've thought about checking out General Surgery, but Carcass already exists, y'know? The genres represented here aren't really the ones that I'm interested in digging very deep into.

That knocks out grindcore, goregrind, death metal, old school death metal ( :) ), thrash and crust.
What's left? Progressive shit? No thanks.

Prog, post-, sludge, doom, black. Yep, those are my cups of tea.

I was kinda joking.
But I'm sure there are some doom bands there :D

I personally can't stand prog, post, revival stuff, at all, so the only thing making this not beat MDF for best festival is the lack of Autopsy and Sodom.

i've tried getting into General Surgery, Cattle Decapitation, and Misery Index a few times, but couldn't. they're probably a lot of fun live though. i also think i may be the only person on this board who thinks doom/sludge metal is boring. i mean the music is good and has talent, but doesn't keep me interested.

I can't stand MOST of the stuff either man, but as long as they don't get too redundant I can usually dig it. I like a lot of the other bands though. Have you listened to Cattle's recent stuff?

8/10 for the song

10/10 for the video as a whole. :D

I've said it before and I shall say it again.
Rompeprop are the only good pornogrind band.
They are excellent. The song titles and album covers just make me disappointed.

The band Warpath on that bill are from here, just up the road from where I live. I've seen their singer in nightclubs and the such around here out with his friends. They're awesome, pure death metal! check out their myspace: www.myspace.com/warpathire

Here I was after reading the thread title thinking it was possible that The Big Four were gonna do a North American tour together. Needless to say when I saw what it really was, I was quite letdown.

I really like General Surgery. DRI, Master, Incantation, and Haemorrhage are really the only other bands on the bill I care about.

ImpNaz played in 2008. That makes that year better.

Melloboat 2008, Stockholm to Helsinki and back. The best part is that the bands are stuck on the boat with you and you get to meet everyone

Yes that is a super perk of the whole experience for sure! I'm just waiting on two things.

1) Have to budget/see if I can afford this or not.
2) Wondering who the 23 other bands will be myself. It would only take one of these artists to put me over the top, Overkill, Edguy, Andre Matos, Jon Oliva, Megadeth. Not to mention I already love the lineup so far, well except for maybe 3 bands. Jon's not likely, he gets sea sick! haha And Dave Mustaine is too prissy for such an event. If they get Tobias and Andre on that thing, I'm floating out tomorrow!

That's shit.
Although the Von lineup now isn't at all the real Von lineup, although I'm not even sure Joe Allen was on either of the demo's....was he?

I'll be amazed if Von actually ends up doing that gig.

We saved money by getting the cheapest cabin possible - how much time do you plan on spending in your room, you know? They stuck us in a four person cabin with two random swedes, saved us a couple hundred
