Sad but true. Dio is still fighting the big C. I hope he makes a full recovery, but this doesn't sound good at all :bawling:

I am a very sad man right now. Was really looking forward to see them at Sonisphere this summer.

But foremost my thoughts are with Ronnie and his family. For him to get better is much more important than my desires to see a Heaven & Hell show.

While this is sad news it's not unexpected at all. I think these dates were just booked as a "just in case" kind of thing. Meaning if Ronnie was well enough they would play. Don't take this as a bad sign at all. I lost my mom to cancer when I was 20 and the treatments just take so much out of you physically. I completely understand how Ronnie would not be ready to play live at all yet.

Knowing how Ronnie wants to give his all each and every show for his fans, it's a wise choice to wait until he feels at a hundred percent before he rusumes playing live. We don't want him coming back too soon and passing out on stage or anything. His health comes first and then the music. Whenever his comeback tour officially starts it will be a huge thing for both him and his fans.

Long live heavy metal and Ronnie James Dio:rocker::rocker:

I'm not remotely surprised. It's a damn shame, of course, and we all hoped Ronnie would be OK, but I always thought booking those shows so soon after he was diagnosed was optimistic. I'm going to one of the festivals they were supposed to play, and I honestly wasn't expecting them to be there.
