Well, wasn't this the most upsetting concert attendance I've ever seen. I think I counted 15 people - no joke. I guess you can say what you will about Stump's popularity but the truth of the matter is this show easily could've had many more people there if it did ANY promotion whatosever. Hell, I'm generally very much on top of this sort of stuff and I nearly missed this show myself. There was no support, no wait. We wandered inside around 8:30, and by 9, Joe and his band took the stage in front of this wonderous crowd. Despite that fact, the guys played their asses off for about 80 minutes - including a nice surprise or two. The rhythm section of his band was about 10x tighter and more talented than I expected, providing as much musical entertainment as Joe's absolutely insane guitar mastery. After the show, the band took the time to hang out and talk with all the people. All in all, a very cool experience, even if it just completely re-affirmed my lack of faith in this area's music scene and the venue itself.

Set list:
Bullet Train
The Dance of Kashani
Bass/Guitar Trade-Off
Blackmore's Boogie
Paganini's Revenge
Old-School Throwdown
Chasing the Dragon
Cadenza Guitar
Burn (Deep Purple)
Still I'm Sad (Rainbow)

For anyone who isn't familiar with Joe Stump, here's a taste. Basically Joe is Yngwie with the twice the technique/skill and half of the ego.
