The thing with the Best Metal category is that 9/10 times the award is given to the most popular/legendary band nominated (with rare exceptions. Tool beat out System of a Down, Slayer, Slipknot, and Black Sabbath one year). Kerry King even admitted so when Slayer won twice in a row, one year which was a b-side (that Final Six track).
I dont' really care either way. each year there will always be a song that I want to win the most of the ones nominated (like any awards that I happen to care about), but i'm not gonna like said song or band any less if they lose.

Enjoyable read. Seems like metallica got a grammy everytime they were nominated to make up for the 1989 debacle. Also, hadn't realized ministry had so many noms.

Thank you. :D
and seriously, I think they were over it the day after, let alone in fucking 2003.

I had to agree with pretty much everything on there. Also, who the hell picks the songs that are nominated? They must be brain dead or something.

The fact that St.Anger won in '04 is the real debacle. I actually like Jethro Tull way more than metallica.
