It would be completely tits if District 9 won best picture. That or The Hurt Locker.

But you and me and everyone's mother know who's going to win. :hecho:

I've laughed a few times, but the speeches are otherwise stupid. Celebrities giving each other pats on the back. Oh well.

I loved Tina Fey & Robert Downey Jr. and Ben Stiller's presentations.

And for some reason From Dusk Till Dawn, multiple times.

Twilight and Beetlejuice were shown too. :bouville:

Shit, I didn't catch Twilight. Ok, FDTD deserves to be in that over those two, but in a list of the "best" horror movies since the 1970s? No way.

Would they have sent a computer program out to receive the award if Avatar won?

I got 11 picks right. I'm going to have to go see Hurt Locker, Precious, and Up now.

Gave Dude and Oscar.

...and as it turns out, Jeff Bridges is way more of "The Dude" in real life than any of us had ever imagined...man!

Very good telecast. Gonna see Crazy Heart, A Serious Man, The Hurt Locker, and maybe Precious and Up in the Air, and maaaaaaaaaaaaaybe Avatar.

Wins I most approve of: Waltz as supporting actor and the score from Up.

Very good telecast.

I disagree. Glad with most of the picks, but I didn't really like the actual program.

Eh, the Oscars are the one night a year where movie stars can be people and not characters, and the self-congratulatory bullshit that people think drags it down is kind of charming to me for whatever reason.

That shit could have been at least a half hour shorter. The wack ass dancing shit to the original score and the ego strokes for Best Actor/Actress was completely unneccessary.

Neil Patrick Harris, go the fuck away. I'm sick of you.

Then there's Miley Cyrus....LOL.

At least Lady Gaga wasn't there.

Really liked The Hurt Locker. So real and tense. Glad it beat Avatar.

That being said Shutter Island smokes Hurt Locker for me

Scorsese gets another shitton of statues...
