First to post!

I gotta say, I really like the results of this. I'm very pleasantly surprised. There is one that I'm not crazy about (guess), but I'm not so much against it that I would do anything more than simply mention it (done). This weren't bad at all. Yay us.:rocker::party:

Good enough, I suppose.

As for the rest - not a whole lot of surprises, just wish I cared about any of these other bands besides Maiden... at all. You guys certainly love you hipster metal.

Not surprised.

Naturally. I'm not just going to randomly start liking music I have absolutely no interest in.

... Yeah, I know. I'm a "closed-minded asshole". Whatever.

Well 4 of my choices were picked for the top 20. Not a bad start.

Well 4 of my choices were picked for the top 20. Not a bad start.Yeah, three of mine made top ten, a total of five made top twenty, and I really like almost everything on the list to some extent or another, so basically...win.

BTW, I would have never voted for Toxicity, but I'm really pretty surprised - and glad - to see that on there. I love that album. :rocker:

My #1=site's #1. I love being right.

Also, psyched to see Blast Tyrant on there. Metal Setlists Non-Metal Album of the Decade :horns:

five of mine made it

Not too much a fan of all the newer Iron Maiden.

But Blackwater Park is the shit. :rocker:

I get a lot shit for saying this to my friends but IMO, Toxicity was the last good System Of A Down album. Mezmerize/Hypnotize had WAY too much of Daron's vocals.

Listened to it, loved it, but for some reason, I didn't go all ga ga for it like everyone else did.

Not exactly surprised with the results. But, I'm happy enough about Mandrake, Follow the Reaper, and Dead Heart in a Dead World making it in the Top 20. It's a start.

It's actually less of a start and more like the remains of an end. :(

Absolutely none of mine in there at all, but I'm not surprised.

Pleasantly surprised with the list as a whole, though. I mean, I knew Mastodon and Iron Maiden would figure prominently, but I really thought 'Crack The Skye' would be top.

Great to see Clutch, Nevermore and Opeth in there.

I would however like to say a big "fuck you all" for not voting Halford and Testament into the list. I really thought more people would pick those.

I actually ordered that album last week (after I did the list) and I really understand the love for that album.

Truly among the greatest albums last year. Very unique-sounding...

not suprised at all that the top 10 are primarily Mastodon and Maiden.

Dance of Death the 4th best album of the decade? WOW!

I've been a Maiden fan for almost 30 years and that album makes me laugh at times with the cheesy lyrics and vocal structure. I just don't get how people could vote this cd over Gojira - From Mars to Sirius, BTBaM - Colors or Machine Head - The Blackening just to name 3 off the top of my head.

To each his own I guess. Is there a song thats so great on that cd that I'm missing? If you were going to make a best of Maiden cd would any of these songs be considered? Last time I listened to Dance of Death I was pretty sure I would never listen to it again. Even the intros got on my nerves after a while...

Easily my favorite Maiden album of the decade and one of my favorites of theirs overall. :finger: Which songs would make a best of Maiden CD? Certainly Paschendale, one of my favorite five Maiden songs, and Rainmaker and Journeyman would have to be considered as well.

Glad I asked because I do really like Paschendale. As for the rest of the cd, I just can't get into it. Rainmaker is one of the songs I was referencing. The start the rain, all can change, wash the tears away chorus is like bad 5th grade poetry to me. It just seems like it repeats those bad lines over and over again to me.

Same with the title track. It's like he's telling a story and just rambling on and on giving you every detail rather than you using your imagination. Seriously if you read the lyrics to that song you will laugh. If I were grading that as 5th grade poetry it would get a C-

I gave it one last listen and it's not a good album in any way to me. Glad I rediscovered Paschendale but 1 song doesn't make an album. I stand by my initial post. That album wouldn't even make my Top 100 let alone #4. To each his own though...
