View Full Version : Behemoth US Tour?

I just got back from seeing Vader, and I saw a few handwritten signs at the venue saying that Behemoth had just been booked to play with a few other bands I'd never heard of on January 26th. I've looked briefly, but I guess no other dates have popped up. Is there any chance this is true? If so, I will shit my pants...

Would be really cool if they did headlining tour of just them + local bands.

It might've been a bunch of local bands, I'm not really big on the local scene here save for a few bands and none of the names looked familiar.

Because if not, they'd tour with some faggot deathcore bands that bring all the scene kids to the show.

MOTHER FUCKERS
There's a blog on their myspace
THIS TOUR IS WITH SHINING AND SEPTIC FLESH, plus special guests in select cities.

What the fuck with the lack of New England dates, Behemoth? The tour poster says January-February 2010, though, so hopefully there's more dates TBA...

Behemoth always tours a shitton for albums, so hopefully this isn't the only time we'll see them this year.

I'd like to see this but I'm not sure I'll be able to make it up to Jaxx as I'll be on winter break and back home in southern VA.

What I like about this is that they are playing Peabody's this time, which should mean a ticket price of $15 to $18 (no fees). The last time they played Cleveburg it was at the House of Blues with JFAC :barf:, Gojira (who I missed, not knowing how awesome they are at that time :(), and a couple of deathcore bands such as Beneath the Massacre and crap like that. It was like $20 plus to see, essentially, Behemoth (in fact, I got there late and that's the only band I saw). Peabody's is a much smaller, more intimate joynt. Should be off the chizzle. :rocker:

Yeah but I want to see Shining :bouville:
Speaking of, what's their deal? I don't know anything about them, really (other that they are from Sweden, so that's most likely a good start ;)).

That's their last album cover. They pretty much sound like black metal set to that image.

Well, the genre is called "suicidal black metal". If that sounds appealing to you then it's probably a good thing. :D I like 'em, anyway.

YES!
I GET TO SEE BEHEMOTH AND SHINING!

:rocker:

The Palladium in Worcester, MA just confirmed this show on their website, joining for one night the Behemoth tour with the DevilDriver/Suffocation/Goatwhore tour, on January 29th.

So, I'll be leaving before DevilDriver, but, otherwise HOLY SHIT AWESOME NIGHT.

:rocker: This is so awesome.

On account of issues with their work visas, Shining has had to drop off. They'll be replaced by Lightning Swords of Death. :(

At first this news pissed me off, but I was really only interested in Shining out of curiosity...I don't claim to be a real fan of theirs (yet). Lightning Swords of Death seem to be just as dark as Shining, though...swapping one interesting-sounding, smallish black metal band for another is maybe not the worst thing in the world. I still want to go just to see Behemoth at a small venue like Peabody's (and of course, because they are fucking headlining, finally!).
