For all those who say that they can't play anymore or they sound like shit live i'm not sure what band you saw when you went to see Metallica but the Metallica I saw tonight sounded fantastic. This was my sixth time seeing them and this was my second favorite performance from them. The energy they have live is hard for most bands to beat or come close to. The crowd was into it for the whole thing and were loud as fuck. The audience seemed really into the new shit from what I could tell which is always a good thing.

I like that after my sixth time seeing them live they still pull out surprises. This is the first time i've seen them do No Remorse, Damage Inc, Blitzkrieg and Phantom Lord live. I know some shows the set is sometimes a little weird but I think the set for tonight was awesome. I don't know why Buffalo got such a good set when other cities bigger than us got sets that weren't as good but it's great they did these songs I guess they must really like our city a lot.

Volbeat opened and they were OK I didn't think they were anything that special. LOG was very good Randy really shows he can be a frontman for an arena band if LOG was popular enough for that. He's got great command of the stage and was running around it the whole time and getting the crowd into it. Their set I think was the same as the other ones they did opening for Metallica.

It was a great show One of their best I have seen. Lars playing was phenomenal.Everyone playing for that matter.Say what you want about Buffalo but Metallica knew how much we appreciate them coming. Crowd was into it from the get go.I liked Volbeat pretty good band LOG ain't my cup of tea but the younger metal heads were getting into them

It was great. My second time seeing them and this was the best one. One of the best if not the best concerts I have been to. We got Creeping Death,No Remorse,Damage and Phantom Lord. :horns:

Volbeat was good Always nice to hear a band sing clean.
LOG was great I think I scratched my throat during them but it healed.

The highest ticket price for this show was $72 but I know what you mean. I've been fortunate enough five of the six times i've seen them to get Creeping Death it's my favorite song from them and I lost my voice during it.

Some fun facts about the show according to metontour.com this was the first time in 24 years they played No Remorse and Phantom Lord in Buffalo. This was also the first time they ever did Damage Inc and Blitzkrieg here so I feel extra fortunate to have got these songs:party:

I also forgot to mention in my review how awesome the new stuff sounded live. It sounded a hundered times better at the show than it does on CD i'm not sure if i'll ever be able to listen to DM again since it won't be the same at all now. I don't know how they've been playing at the other shows this tour but it seems having a good new album that the band and fans like has really revived them live. Not that they were bad before this but at this show they just seemed more energetic and "youthful" and into it than i've seen them in awhile the last time I saw them play with this much enthusiasm was when I saw them in '92 and '94.

I forgot to mention before to all those who are saying that NEM needs to be played at every show because it's their second most popular song that was hardly the case at my show. It did get a respectable reaction but it was hardly the reaction their supposedly second most popular song should get. In fact just about every other song got a better reaction in the set. CD, One, MOP, Damage, Sandman, SBT and Seek got the best reactions of the night. Maybe it's just my city but i've never gotten the impression of the times i've seen them that most fans in attendence really care either way about the song.

Not many people seemed too crazy about NEM in Charlottesville either.

Ok that's good at least I know it's not all in me and my brothers heads the last couple times we've seen them.
