Pretty impressive that this was my third time seeing them and they didn't do any songs I'd seen before.

I'm glad they did the 2 most balls-out crazy songs from Misdirect, haha.

The piano at the beginning of Fossil Genera was INTENSE.

Shevanel Cut a Flip :rocker:

I'd love to see them do 'swim to the moon' as their encore during the jan tour

Worst crowd experience ever.

I'm considering skipping this when it comes to NYC because I know 90% of the crowd is going to be assholes in fitted hats karate kicking all night.

Yeah. That's what it was. Which is bizarre, because BTBAM aren't "that kind" of music. I think the bands they play with have a lot to do with it: on the Dream Theater/Opeth/Three tour, the crowd didn't move at all, on the In Flames/3IOB/Faceless tour it was just your general squeezing towards the front and headbanging, last night with Veil of Maya and Animals As Leaders, it was like a faggot dojo in there.

Awesome set thats too bad about the crowd. Both times i have seen them there has been 0 hxc dancers.

The venue was also a church-sponsored Christian deathcore alcohol-alternative hang out spot for teenagers and skaters, so that probably didn't help things.

Hahaha, I've never heard that expression before. Kudos.

Haha, I was kinda proud when I thought of that. ;)

I'm not a homophobe of any kind but I yelled "FAGGOT!" at so many kids last night. :eyes:

Haven't you seen the new South Park episode? It's all cool, bro.

Thats what I told him. ;)

I was glad to see that the hxc dancers were still committed to their decade long effort to fight the ghosts that frequently haunt concert halls.

Any set that includes Mordecai is a winner.

Hmm... no obfuscation...hmm...

I'd like to see that one, but I wouldn't take one of those out to get it in there. Their set must be tough to make...

They did it on the last tour. Personally, I think the setlist for the tour with Cynic and Devy should just be all of The Great Misdirect with Selkies as the encore.

That would be fantastic, wouldn't that be a bit short?

eh, maybe not, only an hour-ish would bum me out a bit.

I'd rather have White Walls AND Selkies as the encore, but then it's an hour and twenty minutes-plus, and that's pretty damn long.

the karate kids would of had a heart attack if they played 'white walls'. when i saw them a few months ago in lancaster, the entire place went ape shit (and thankfully no hxc kids) during the breakdown
