I feel cocky creating a whole thread that's about me, but I feel that if I posted it in the 'What Are You Doing Thread' it wouldn't get too many responses and views.

I recently signed for my high school radio station, where I am doing a show called the Heavy Metal Hour.

I play music, talk about it, and have a section where I do an interview with a local band or somebody who is involved with the metal scene.

On this edition, I interviewed a band called Burning at the Stake. They're really awesome and you should check them out! myspace.com/burningatthestakeofficial

Right now, only the interview part is complete, and it will unfortunately be a while before I will get the entire show completed.

Here is a link to the interview: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=71r76TSERXw&feature=player_profilepage

I hope you enjoy it! I'm new at interviews and any tips are suggestions are happily welcome because I would love to learn more about interviewing, and also radio in general.

Also, I'd love it for you to watch the video because the band featured really is awesome!!

If you live in the Los Angeles area, tomorrow they are playing a Halloween Show at Alberto's Pizza in Lompoc, CA which is 1 or 2 hours outside of L.A. I believe.

Thanks, and enjoy!

-Bennett

Haha, thank God our station is student run. The program gives you so much freedom. my show can be as long as i want or as short as i want (within reason), i can play whatever i want, talk about whatever i want, etc. as long as i don't curse, or if i curse, i have to bleep it out.

its awesome hahaha.

Here's the first interview I did, with a band Vishapakahr. @ Dextrimental, this one I'm ever more nervous because it was my first time doing anything like it before.

Nevertheless, enjoy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D7lIdbmwbig&feature=channel

and new video I made, not related to my videos:

Same man! My high school would proably have a protest if me played actual metal on the school radio station.

Halperin that is really cool man also got comment that is a sick playlist.

For my new show, I have an interview with Simi Valley based death metal band Back From Death!

Check it out here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Un3rfCvS8eg

I feel on this interview I was a lot less nervous than the previous ones since I was more used to doing it, and on this interview, I asked questions on the spot as relevant responses to their answers, which was a pretty big step up from the first two.

Please check the band out here: myspace.com/backfromdeathmetal

The setlist for the entire show is as follows:

Bathe in Entrails - Dying Fetus
Mario Minor - Powerglove
Silence Marked by the Breaking of Bone - Goatwhore
----------------------------------
Nefarious Campaign - Burning at the Stake
Necrocriticism - General Surgery
--Back From Death Interview--
Burning in the Furnace - Back From Death
Spirit Crusher - Death
-----------------------------------
Clone - Gojira
Gorged Upon My Soul - Skeletonwitch
Asche Zu Asche - Rammstein
------------------------------------
Wasted Years - Iron Maiden

Surely a whole run of extreme metal at the end like that is a very niche thing to do? Gotta finish on a classic, I'd have said.

Hell yeah, haha, that would be tight. the Knit should be closed for around a year and then they're going to open up a new location, most likely murderfest will take place at the new location.

Why does he claim to be playing awesome songs (Warfare, Metallic Crucifixion) on this tour and then not follow through?

Where the hell is the Inepsy split?

Where the hell is the new Tiger Junkies record?

How did he loose that much weight in a year?

What happened to Al (the drummer)?
