Had been hoping to catch these guys headlining after seeing them with Nightwish last year, and I'm glad a date popped up so close to me. Really fun show - there were three local openers, but the first and the third definitely had their acts together. It was also the first time that SA performed "Juliet" live - Tony mentioned that they'd probably need to rehearse it a bit more, but it was extremely cool to hear. Hoping the April tour rumors pan out!

That's kind of a terrific setlist and I wish I was seeing them this weekend but no one with a car here has enough interest. :(

that's a lame set for a headlining show IMO

i gotta agree. the only songs i'd wanna hear from that are Black Sheep, Full Moon, Last Drop Falls, The Cage, and Don't Say A Word.

wheres Wolf & Raven, San Sebastian, My Land, Misplaced, or Victoria's Secret? oh well maybe next time.

Hurray for Replica and White Pearl, Black Oceans. Replica is such a loved classic but they do it so rarely, particularly in America. Aside from that, a couple of great classics, and at least they're doing the best 3 songs off Unia, but all in all far too much new material for me to have really enjoyed that show.

IIRC they were playing it with DragonForce, so they probably last played it a few days ago. :)

What april tour rumors?

It's hearsay, but people on the SA forum are saying that they said they'd be doing a full headline tour this April (or sometime in the spring).

Honestly, I think I'm in the minority who really prefers their newer stuff. :eyes: I have Reckoning Night through TDoG and like them; I gave Ecliptica a spin and just didn't like it at all on disc, though I might listen to it again soon because I thought those songs worked really well live. (And this is completely unrelated, but "The Road Goes Ever On" is an awesome tune. :blaze:)

That'd be cool. Been awhile since I've seen them headline.

There is definitely WAY too much newer stuff, but I'm sure I would have had fun anyways if I had gone. Mainly missing San Sebastian and Victoria's Secret, but I'd like to see Blinded No More make its way into the set. Cool to see that they're still play White Pearl.

Replica

Yeah, I've been listening to a lot of Wuthering Heights lately - such a great and under-appreciated band.

They're headlining and not playing 8th Commandment ?
