Hey all,

I've been given the green signal to interview In Flames on September 22nd at the Fox Theatre in Pomona. If you guys have any (serious) suggestions for questions, do let me know!

One of my favorite questions to ask any band that's been around for any significant length of time is "Are there any songs you haven't played in awhile that you would like to play again, regardless of the crowd's approval?"

Generally, the answers end up being songs that either didn't work out live the first try, or went over so abysmally with the crowd that the band retired it. The way it's worded leaves it open for either older songs or even songs off of the newer albums that the band like but the crowd didn't get in to.

haha.

Cool gig, dude. I wish I worked for a sweet metal site and I got to interview dudes! That reminds me, is that why you go to so many shows, because you get in free?

lol I've started getting in free only this month .. so you can say going to those many shows earlier and writing about them has sort of paid off :D

Ask them why they make shitty music now. :D

In all seriousness though, ask them what they think of their style change and how they apply themselves as "melodic death metal" (or if they do at all anymore).

I'd ask if they are planning on anything special for thier 20 year anniversary, and see if there is any talk about a new dvd cause something about one was mentioned in the behind the scenes making of the alias video.

I just want them to some more older stuff. The new stuff is just as good but I want more old In Flames. And if the people stand like zombies during the old songs come to where I live I will be the one who knows everything.:horns:

You should ask them if theres any bands they'd love to tour with that they haven't already toured with.

Ask Bjorn why the hell he cut his hair.

Or if they will be coming to places they haven't been in a while, like Oklahoma. It's been 3-5 years I think.

Interview went great! There was some background noise in the first 90 seconds but crystal clear for the remaining 6 minutes. I asked pretty much everything that you guys had suggested.
