It wasn't legit then and it's not legit now.
All we know for sure is that Machine Head is opening 1 Megadeth show, which may or may not mean they're opening the entire tour.
The venue they say it's being held at has a capacity of 1,500, much too small for a Gigantour date. Keep your boners in check.

Well, there's actually six different stages at the Rave. The Rave only holds 1500, but the Eagles Ballroom holds 4,000.

Nah, Overkill is not my stuff at all... Into Eternity is what I'm for. Overkill were actually boring, very boring. But as far as boring is concerned, Opeth took the cake.

Pros: Megadeth, Arch Enemy, Into Eternity. Cons: Lamb of God, Opeth, Smash Ups. Not Needed: Sanctity and Overkill

Im not saying they dont have breakdowns. They have a shitload of them but they are one of 4 bands, All That Remains and Machine Head arent bree bree bands so 1 bree bree band doesnt make it a bree bree tour.

there's a pretty reliable Québec metal site that announced yesterday that there will be at least 2 more Canadian Carnage shows in november (Slayer, Megadeth, Machine Head & Suicide Silence) in Montreal & Québec city, dates should be announced next week.

I don't like ATR, but they certainly are not bree-bree metal, they're just flat out metal-core. And Machine Head being "tough guy" metal? I didn't know such a genre existed.

If you actually read a lot of his Forum stuff, it's like this. A lot of people bash him for always talking about Metallica, but it's always the person doing the interview who brings it up.

Recently I've loved all the Slayer shit-talking about Dave. Where Kerry and Tom call him a dick and an asshole, and Dave himself has said nothing back yet... And Dave is suppose to be the douchebag...

edit: If Megadeth really want to switch up their sets, the basic outline of the current one isn't BAD, but they could stand to lose about half of what they have currently and add:
-Looking down the cross (Seemed unlikely due to Dave's religion, but it looks like he's starting to realize that a good song is worth playing regardless of subject matter, would be amazing to see)
-My Last Words
-Posion Was The Cure
-Hook In Mouth
-Take No Prisoners (I know these last two have been played from time to time recently, but I think they should be made staples :D)
+ a few songs from Endgame.

i am not gonna lie if that was legit i would be pretty happy i know i am in the minority on that one. However i do think that Megadeth should put at least 1 thrash band on their tours because they are pioneers of the genre. Seeing a band like Lazarus A.D or Municipal Waste on there would make me very happy.

I'm going to play possible buzzkill a little bit but if the KC tix are same as everywhere else they are $40!!!! I guess that will be the steep price for seeing Megadave @ a smaller venue. Thought I would forewarn others who are planning to go to this. It's not stopping me but it def sucks. Seeing that I've never seen them before I don't know if that is excessive or about right.
