Arent there like 8 other bands before devildriver comes on. There doesnt need to be that many.

Although I hate this lineup as much as anyone else, you must realize how big of a draw some of the other bands on the tour have, unfortunately. Although they all for the most part are some of the worst bands I've ever heard, they will draw a crowd, and make the company who sponsors the event a lot more money.

They can have two or 3 bands open. When 8 bands play before devildriver(the headliner) it gives them 50 minutes to one hour when devildriver should get more.

Why would you leave the concert early

Because I was street teaming for DevilDriver and had to get ready to pass swag out before the mass exit.
