What a great fucking show. I'm tired so I'm probably not remembering everything but I'll do my best.

2 hour drive was totally worth it. It was an amazing night of heavy metal.

First band: Toxic Holocaust kicks ass. Amazing modern thrash. I recommend you give them a listen.

Setlist went something like this: (probably not in the correct order)

1. Wild Dogs
2. Gravelord
3. War is Hell
4. 666
5. Nuke the Cross

They might have played 1 or 2 more that I'm forgetting, but that was basically it.

DYING FETUS FUCKING OWNS. Seen 'em 3 times, they never dissapoint. I just love dying fetus. :D

Setlist was:

1. Homicidal Retribution
2. Your Treachery Will Die With You (New Song)
3. Justifiable Homicide
4. Pissing in the Mainstreem
5. Grotesque Impalement
6. Praise the Lord (Opium of the Masses)

I could have left after them and been happy. But why the fuck would I when Hatebreed and Chimaira are coming up

Winds of Plague is fucking terrible.

Yeah....

Chimaira was tight. i dont know their setlist but i do know that they started with The Venom Inside and went right in to Ressurection, which was awesome. I learned that their name is pronounced CUH-MERA I had always prounounced it CHU-MYRA Some guy got his head bashed in and was rushed to the hospital  it was crazy, not to get graphic but there was bloood all over the pit.

Hatebreed is fucking amazing. I don't care what you think. Their music is amazing, lyrics inspiring, and amazing role models, especially Jamey Jasta. I don't know their complete setlist, but these are songs that I'm positive they played:

To the Threshold
Live For This
I Will Be Heard
Doomsayer
This Is Now
Proven
Perseverance
You're Never Alone
Defeatist
Destroy Everything
Last Breath
Before Dishonor

And off of For The Lions they played:

Thirsty and Miserable (Black Flag)
Ghosts of War (Slayer)

I think that's all of the songs. No complaints about that setlist other than the absence of As Diehard As They Come

I bought a Meet and Greet for after the show. My picture was screwed up, but I still got something signed, and that counts for something. I talked to Jamey. He really is an amazing person and a role model to me. Everything he says is so down to earth and inspiring. I can't wait to see them again.

Hatebreed said they will be back around November with a tour that is not to be missed.

Apparently the lineup is:

Hatebreed/Cannibal Corpse (possibly co-headline? I forgot to ask)
Hate Eternal
Unearth
There was one other band that I'm forgetting (I'll remember by tomorrow).

I hope you enjoyed reading this. If you're considering going to this show, GO.

You will not be dissapointed. And make sure to buy a meet-n-greet pass if you go.

Thanks for reading,

Bennett

Cool review dude. And that tour does sound cool, but only for the Corpse for me. I'd probably end up going even though Cannibal would have a shorter set compared to a sole headlining tour.

Nice review dude. I am kind of sad that this isnt coming to MA. I like all of the bands on the bill [yes even Winds Of Plague]. I have been dying to see Hatebreed and Chimaria live for a while.

That tour sounds awesome Hatebreed,Cannibal Corpse,Unearth and Hate Eternal those are all fantastic bands and that should be a hell of a show.

Good review, if this tour was coming to MA, I'd be there very quickly. That Hatebreed/Cannibal Corpse tour will be awesome.

i was supposed to go to this pomona show but none of my friends were down or didn't have the money nd we didn't have a ride anyways.

i really need to meet some new metalheads in college. i only have a few friends who are (sometimes) down for shows.

anyways that tour sounds cool. with unearth on the tour i'm there for sure.

Pomona show was sick. Better than Ventura for sure.

It was crazy during The Flame, through the window on the left side seeing all the flashing lights from the cops, ambulance and fire truck rushing to the venue.

Trust me, I know. I was stoked to hear Hatebreed/Cannibal/Hate Eternal, and then they said Born of Osiris, and I was like... shit. Like someone handing you a kick ass x-mas gift and then saying, oh sorry, that's for your brother. Like a kick in the nuts. Sorry to all you deathcore fans, but your bretheren ruins concerts and your music sucks.
I guess I'll just be late.

i'm pretty sure Hate Eternal is going to be below both Unearth and Born of Osiris.

i'm pretty sure Hate Eternal is going to be below both Unearth and Born of Osiris.

Unearth? Maybe. Hate Eternal isn't as scene-friendly as them.

But BoO? Never.

Hate Eternal is bigger than both the bands.

Metal_Head
08-20-2009, 05:54 PM
Yeah, there's no way in hell Hate Eternal will be underneath Born of Osiris...this tour is awesome though.

xStructualDefect
08-20-2009, 06:21 PM
well my guess is Unearth will for sure be above Hate Eternal. and i'm not sure but maybe BoO because they have a big scene fanbase now. then again i've never seen Hate Eternal so i wouldn't know how big their following is.

Hate Eternal's frontman is Erik Rutan. Aside from producing/mixing/guesting on EVERYONE'S album nowadays, he's ex-Morbid Angel for arguably their most popular period.

Born Of Osiris really isnt bad. Are they worst band the tour yes but they really arent bad and Hate Eternal will not be billed over Unearth no chance in hell.

born of osiris has some cool songs but not that great, id just as soon leave them off the tour, but I dont mind that their there either. Unearth and hatebreed together is a dream come true and cannibal corpse is brutal as fuck this show is gona be death in a building :flame:

only playing 6-7 songs isnt much at all for Toxic, and is really short considering the length of their songs.

08-21-2009, 10:45 AM
i think toxic also played Endless Armageddon but im not 100% sure.

b_halperin
08-21-2009, 02:24 PM
yeah born of osiris was the other band. hatebreed always seems to have one out of place/terrible wiggercore band on every tour recently.

winds of plague, born of osiris....

Metal_Head

I wouldn't call Born of Osiris wiggercore, I'd call em scenecore.

Truth. Nonetheless, this Hatebreed/Cannibal Corpse tour should be excellent.

Nickweiser
08-21-2009, 06:18 PM
o it will be excellent, all the other 4 bands EASILY make up for it. and i kinda thank BOO for bein on there, just enjoy some beer and look at merch for other bands during their set. Do they attract the wigger children? Yes. But they definitely dont do the look like Emmure or WoP does.

either way, Hate Eternal, Unearth, Cannibal Corpse, Hatebreed are gonna rage this!
