Weak.

Just read Rex is out for 1st leg of Down's tour (personal reasons?).

Anyone know who's filling in?

Let's not pretend Rex has/had a vital role in any band...

Replacement will probably be Hank Williams III, Mike Dean or Patrick Bruders.

I always thought Rex had a good sense of groove and had good basslines here and there. Psycho Holiday comes to mind.

...but nothing outstanding
I thought it was ironic that his most memorable part was at the end of the last song on Pantera's last album.

Rex is a very under-rated bass player IMO. There's not much you can do when Dimebag is your guitarist anyway. But he's always been very tight and very solid. I especially dig the stuff he's doing during the solo of Floods. There's more room for him to jam out in Down anyway. I'm dissapointed he wont be on the tour.

Replacement is Danny Theriot. Used to play in Victorian Blitz with Kirk Windstein.
