FUCK. Well, time to call it a day, I guess. Not that I had any real hopes of seeing them live anyway, but this is just shit. John Sykes is a god. They have NO hope of finding a worthy replacement(s). Well, unless Jorn lande is stepping up to the mic and Doug Aldrich is gonna be on guitar.

That's a shame. Anything else Gorham does with Lizzy would be a cashgrab. When was the last time they toured the US anyways?

Excuse me for saying so, but isn't any post-Lynott Thin Lizzy touring ultimately a cash grab?

No, it's a tribute. If the band were trying to go out and make new albums and remain fully active, I'd be upset. But I think what they've been doing is completely fine. Going out and paying tribute to Phil lynott and his music once in a while. You won't find any big Thin lizzy fan that thinks this has been a cash grab as opposed to a tribute.

Thats pretty crappy news. I feel relieved that I decided against the Rocklahoma date where Thin Lizzy was playing. I've pretty much decided this will be yet another band I will not ever get to see play live and it kind of bums me out.
John Sykes is a god.
Too bad, now we have pretty much no chance of hearing those songs played again :( Not that I was expecting to anyway, last time Lizzy played here was 2004 with Deep Purple. I was a loser for missing that :bricks:
