It's cool. I saw them last summer (albeit with terrible openers) and I got to see Dissident Aggressor. :D

Although I'd love Freewheel Burning, Diamonds and Rust and Victim of Changes. ;o;

So, how did Victim Of Changes sound with Rob's "current voice"?

Nooo, after they toured Europe and before Metal Masters, they played a few warm-up shows and one was in Kansas City, Jackyl and Drowning Pool opened. :hecho:

It is short but who gives a shit? They're doing all of British Steel:rocker:
I'd gladly take a shorter set from a band if it means they're gonna play a classic album of theirs in it's entirerty. Plus just to hear them open with Rapid Fire would be worth the ticket price

I wonder if diamonds and rust will be the mellow, acoustic "time to take a leak and grab some beers" version that they've played the last few tours. If so, it's a strange spot to put it (2nd last tune).

I'm almost completely bamboozled by the lack of Painkiller AND Electric Eye, and the shortness, but the setlist is GREAT.

Not trying to butt in but I believe the show he is referring to was a bullshit radio sponsored show that had such gems as Jackyl, Drowning Pool & some other very useless crap that you would hear on FM radio in the KC area. I didn't see the show but I heard about it and it was a pretty embarassing lineup. I would have killed for the Metal Masters tour last year!!!!

YES VICTIM IS BACK!! The fact they weren't playing that last year was one of the reasons I decided to skip Metal Master (looking back now, quite the fail on my part, but I did end up having an ear infection that day so...). But now...no Painkiller or Electric Eye :( . But Victim, The Ripper, and Diamonds makes up for it, I guess.

Except for the fact that British Steel isn't the classic everybody makes it out to be.

As for the lack of Painkiller and Electric Eye, every song needs a break every once in a while. Those two songs, Living After Midnight and Victim Of Changes are no exception.

I'd say the biggest surprise for me is nothing from Hell Bent For Leather (not necessarily a bad thing; again, breaks)

^ Agreed. And they can't even wait untill next year to do the 30th anniversary tour. How about a Hellbent for Leather/Killing Machine 30th anniversary tour?

Except this year is the 30th anniversary tour for that album.

Disagree, lots of Halfordness on that one ("United", "The Rage" :barf: ). At least this is how we can hear "Rapid Fire" and "Steeler" though which they would probably never play otherwise. This is a great setlist though and I'm LIEK SO EXCITED OMG

While I'll agree that there are many metal albums better than British Steel the album is a metal classic. Without this album a lot of the great metal that came after would never have been. Plus it's better than putting everyone to sleep by playing Nostradamus in full live like they said they would.

Great setlist. I am hoping to catch this show at either PNC in NJ or Jones Beach in NY. As for lack of Painkiller, Electric Eye, etc. Big fucking deal. I can do without those songs. I don't mind that Painkiller is out of the setlist because it is a vocally demanding song for Rob Halford to perform. So I can see why that is taken out because he needs the energy to perform songs like fucking STEELER and GRINDER which are great songs and have not been played since the British Steel tour in 1980. I can also do without You've Got Another Thing Comin'. It would be great if they ended the set with a gem like Killing Machine or Stained Class instead. The Ripper is a beautiful add on though.

Both on all of their past 3 or 4 tours. Get over it.

Either way I'm happy, I missed the one show they played it at in the bay area.

I'm more excited for this than I was for the SBIT tour.

i am very psyched to see this show. because they are opening with Rapid Fire, as well as playing The Rage and Steeler, i am seeing this show twice.

I have seen The Ripper live a few times, so it will be good to hear it again.

You've Got Another Thing Coming can be put to rest in my opinion.

I think they played Victim of Changes on the Angel of Retribution tour. believe me, i am not complaining. i'd love to hear it again. Now, if they were to play Tyrant, now i'd be even more psyched.

Hell Bent For Leather or most other tracks from that record would have been nice, but not a deal breaker for me.

I'm sorry but you can't complain if you didn't bother to show up to any of the multiple tours they did since reuniting, where they played both those songs every time.
